The owners of Houston-based steakhouse Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille are bringing a more casual American grill concept to an area of town craving more dining options. Carve American Grille will open at Lantana Place in West Austin on December 17. The restaurant from restaurateur Chris Perry will serve happy hour and dinner featuring dishes served from a live fire grill. Lunch and brunch options start next year. The menu, developed by Perry’s Master Development Chef, television personality and 2010 James Beard Best Chef Southwest finalist Rick Moonen, will serve custom-cut steaks, wood-fired pizzas, pastas, chicken-fried pork chop, cedar plank-grilled redfish, mesquite grilled baby back ribs and more. The bar will feature 25 wines on tap, offered in four different pour sizes. Carve’s Happiest Hour runs daily from 3 to 6:30 p.m., with $2 off small bites, eight-ounce wine pours, cocktails and draft beers. Find more details at Austin360.com.
