They were extraordinary. They wrote everything, they played like  mother---ers, they were just colossal and wonderful, and nobody's ever mentioned them..... Revivify FANNY. And I will feel that my work is done." (Rolling Stone Magazine 12/29/1999). Now calling themselves FANNY WALKED THE EARTH, there's a new album, a Broadway musical in the works and founder/guitarist June Millington is on a mission (literally) that supports girls and women find their voice in music via the Institute for Musical Arts. Listen to my conversation with the animated and energized June about the heady days of the band when they worked with and opened for many of the major acts of the time to great acclaim from their peers, the frustration of not being recognized for their accomplishments, and where the road is headed now. June has also written an autobiography and is currently writing a sequel.
