Singer Jordan Pundik joins us today to discuss everything going on in the world of New Found Glory at the moment, including their current tour dates, upcoming collab with Disney, and more.

A lot is happening in the world of New Found Glory -- most importantly to Audacy host Dallas because of his five-year-old daughter, is the band’s upcoming Disney collaboration, “Part Of Your World,” from the forthcoming A Whole New Sound compilation set for release on September 6.

“I wouldn't know of any better band to be track one because we're such crazy Disney freaks,” Jordan admits. “You know that whole ‘Disney Adult’ thing, right? That’s us.” Their song, taken from The Little Mermaid soundtrack, he says “was a big one” for his age group growing up. “Back when I was a teenager or so -- I have two siblings that are younger than me -- and I just remember my sister would always sing that song, and she was actually kind of jealous that we actually got to record it.”

Switching gears like the “High Speed Changer” on his Orange 9mm t-shirt, Jordan discussed some of the vocal routines that he practices before a set, naming warmup songs like Silverchair’s “Across The Night,” as well as “a band that's near and dear to my heart,” Indianapolis Emo darlings, Chamberlain.

“They were like ‘90s, early 2000s kind of Emo-ish, kind of Alt-Country,” Pundik explains. “The guys in the bands grew up and started in hardcore bands and stuff. They used to be called Split Lip…. this really rad, heavy guitar, sort of like Emo-ish kind of band, and then they put out this Chamberlain record and it was [a] complete 180 from where they were or what they played. More of like this Americana. Super amazing lyrics. So, I kinda sing along to those songs, too.”

New Found Glory is currently on the road celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their 14-track, 2004 album Catalyst.

“It's a lot,” says Jordan, “the record kind of has these, ebbs and flows -- you go from this really heavy, fast guitar song to a really slow ballad as the fourth song in the set. So, it's different, but it seems like people are pumped and the shows have been awesome.”
