Audacy is bringing you the world premiere of Luke Combs’ new song, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” beginning May 16 at 8AM ET on Audacy Country stations nationwide.
The song is set to be featured in the movie Twisters, a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister, arriving July 19. “This song is about everything that I think this movie is about,” Combs shared with Audacy of the new song. “High-energy, high-octane, I think the song really musically matches that vibe. It’s really sort of abstract, lyrically speaking, I think that was done intentionally. We were really just trying to sonically match the vibe that they were looking for with this film.”
Combs found that vibe through his masterful songwriting and translates it to audiences with his powerful voice that brings a certain emotion matching the disaster movie. “Some of my favorite lyrics in the song are kind of the juxtaposition of ‘I can’t breathe then I catch my breath,' and ‘Ain’t scared of nothin’ but I’m scared to death.' I love whatever that tension that those lines provide is some of my favorite stuff in this tune.”
Don’t miss “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” from Twisters, playing all day May 16, beginning at 8AM ET, on Audacy Country stations nationwide.
