During a recent conversation with Audacy’s Bru, Audacy Launch artist Doechii revealed what advice she’d offer up to her younger self, knowing what she knows now.

“I think consistency," Doechii said as just an overarching notion, before adding, “and just put it out, just put the music out.”

She continued, “I remember going through this phase, where I was like ‘it’s not perfect, it doesn’t sound like this, it doesn’t sound like that… what are people gonna think? Nobody wants to hear this, nobody wants to hear that.” The moral of the story — “just put the music out, just put out want you like, it doesn’t matter what’s cool right now… Something’s gonna stick if you throw a hundred darts,” she says.
