From 'Baseball Isn't Boring' (subscribe here): The stories of perseverance in Major League Baseball are always a good time (and a great podcast topic). Right now there appears to be a pretty good one unfolding in Houston thanks to the dominance of reliever Kaleb Ort. Since the end of the 2023 season, the 32-year-old had been let go by the Red Sox, Mariners, Marlins, Phillies and Orioles before landing with Houston. Since being called up in July Ort has been dominating, allowing just one run in his first six outings, striking out 14 while not walking a single batter. It's a great story and a great sit-down.
