Joining Audacy’s Mike Adam via Zoom, WONHO checked in to chat about his 2nd single album 'Bittersweet,' and more.

After having to take vocal lessons for the musical, Equal, he took part in earlier this year, WONHO admitted the additional training “motivated me to take on new challenges,” when it came to his “singing style.” Adding, “I think these aspects can be found in my new single.”

Speaking of which, WONHO has named his 2nd single album 'Bittersweet.' When explaining how he settled on the title, he said, “I wanted to express a mix of emotions, so bitter, yet sweet, exciting yet depressing. I believe our lives are filled with different emotions and they shape who we are.”

On one of the tracks “On & On,” WONHO teamed up with YUNHWAY, sharing “I’ve always liked YUNHWAY’s voice and this song seemed like the perfect fit for her, so that’s how the collaboration came about.”

He continued, “the process was very quick. She sent over her part the day after I sent her the music and it was just perfect.”

Sadly, while WONHO did reveal that he’s “always thinking about it,” he’s entirely too busy to deliver a full album any time soon. Same goes for doing an album or EP with another artist. Though WONHO did admit that he’d be “open to anyone WENEE recommends.”

Other things to look forward to, WONHO shares what he thinks about doing more stage work, reveals his favorite lyric from his single album, and discusses potential Halloween costume options, noting he’s still open to suggestions. Check out the entire interview above.
