The song presents a wholesome, wistful experience of young love that makes no effort to obfuscate for the benefit of uptight straight audiences.

On this episode, Andrew and Dominique discuss the long-lost unfinished Deftones album Eros, which leaked last month after over a decade of fan fixation.

Eros is the album the band was working on circa 2008 when bassist Chi Cheng was involved in a catastrophic car accident that left him in a semi-comatose state until his death in 2013.

Deftones abandoned work on the album following Cheng’s accident. The band’s subsequent album, Diamond Eyes, in 2010 was a stark departure in sound that only begged more questions about the stepping stone that Eros might’ve been.
