May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. 

TxDOT is launching its "Share the Road: Look Twice for Motorcycles" campaign and reminding drivers to remain alert and watch carefully for motorcycles on Texas roadways.

In 2023 in Texas, 599 motorcyclists were killed in motor vehicle crashes and 2,483 motorcyclists were seriously injured. The number of motorcyclists killed on Texas roads increased by 7% last year, and intersection fatal crashes in our state increased by 21%.

This has been an extremely busy past couple of weeks for Texas when it comes to spring storm season. We have activated the KRLD Storm Center so many times this month, and there's a good chance we have a few more of those storms in us. 
In the last week, north Texas has seen deadly tornadoes, and severe thunderstorm warnings in the middle of the DFW area. Those storms this week didn't bring any tornadoes, but a lot of high winds and large hail caused a lot of damage, especially to the trees and homes. 

What happens next when you have to assess the damage to your house, especially your roof.
