On today’s episode of Ask the Doctor, Dr. Michael Lange was joined by Taylor Moncado, Managing Director of Fortifeye Vitamins, for a packed hour of eye health, nutrition, protein, fitness and healthy aging.

Dr. Lange opened the show by announcing that his special guest on Saturday, September 5, will be veteran talk-show host David Snow, host of “Dr. Health Radio” since 1992.

During today’s program, Dr. Lange and Taylor discussed:

👁️ MACULAR DEGENERATION & GLAUCOMA
Dr. Lange reviewed natural, medical and surgical approaches to macular degeneration and glaucoma while answering a caller’s questions. he also discussed Fortifeye Eye Pressure and Neuro cognitive support supplement for glaucoma patitents. He mentioned a new 2.5 second procedure for glaucoma called DSLT

💪 NATURALLY SUPPORTING TESTOSTERONE
Another caller asked how men can support healthy testosterone levels naturally. Dr. Lange discussed the importance of resistance training, adequate protein, healthy body composition, quality sleep and proper nutrition. He went into some detail of what to eat.

🥛 GRASS-FED WHEY PROTEIN
Dr. Lange and Taylor explained the benefits of high-quality, grass-fed, non-denatured whey protein and discussed the new, delicious vanilla flavor of Fortifeye Super Protein.

They also explained that whey may not be appropriate for everyone. Some individuals with dairy or whey allergies, certain autoimmune conditions, or digestive sensitivity may experience bloating or other symptoms.

🥩 GRASS-FED BEEF PROTEIN ISOLATE—IN DEVELOPMENT
Fortifeye is now developing a grass-fed, grass-finished beef protein isolate for people seeking a dairy-free alternative. The team is also considering a beef-isolate version of Fortifeye Fit Meal.

🐟 HOW TO CHOOSE A QUALITY OMEGA-3
Dr. Lange explained the difference between the re-esterified triglyceride—or rTG—form of omega-3 fish oil and the ethyl ester, or EE, form. He reviewed why he generally prefers the highly absorbable rTG form used in Fortifeye Super Omega and Fortifeye Super Omega Max.

🔥 NATURAL WEIGHT-MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Fortifeye Fit Meal and Fortifeye Fit Bites were discussed as convenient options for people looking for a natural, protein-centered approach to appetite control and weight management.

⚡ FORTIFEYE CREATINE 2.0—COMING SOON
Dr. Lange and Taylor previewed a new super-micronized creatine currently in development. Fortifeye Creatine 2.0 is expected to use an approximately 500-mesh creatine designed to dissolve more completely and potentially be easier on the digestive system than many traditional creatine powders. It may be available within the next month.

👀 NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT FOR EYE FLOATERS
The hosts reviewed emerging research into nutritional support for eye floaters. They discussed combining Fortifeye whey protein with pineapple and tangerine or orange, along with coconut milk if desired. This provides protein and L-lysine along with vitamin C and citrus bioflavonoids.

They also discussed Fortifeye Complete Multivitamin as a source of zinc, grape-seed extract and additional nutrients studied for their potential role in supporting the vitreous and overall eye health. Nutritional support should complement—not replace—a dilated eye examination, especially when floaters appear suddenly or are accompanied by flashes or a curtain over the vision.

🌱 NEW COMPLETE VEGAN PROTEIN—IN DEVELOPMENT
Fortifeye is also developing a highly digestible vegan protein combining fava bean, pea and canola proteins. The goal is to deliver a complete essential amino acid and branched-chain amino acid profile comparable to whey, with a PDCAAS score of 1.0. It is being designed for people who avoid dairy, follow a vegan diet, or require a gluten-free option.

🍽️ HOW MUCH PROTEIN DO YOU REALLY NEED?
Dr. Lange and Taylor explained the difference between consuming enough protein merely to survive and consuming enough to thrive. They discussed daily protein targets, protein quality, meal timing and practical ways to distribute protein throughout the day.

Many other callers had their questions answered during this informative episode of Ask the Doctor!
