On Arvos with Andy we had Darwin based artist Charlie Prowling and the Black Pepper Band. Originally said in jest, the members decided to shamelessly steal it so now they are known and promoted as Charlie & The Black Pepper Band. Their current line-up includes Charlie’s partner in crime Melanie Macauley, on backup vocals and the young dynamic guitarist James (Gravy) Brown. Charlie indicates his early influences have instilled in him a love of musical narration. Charlie reflects on how he has “always tried to emulate the style of storytelling within my music”. They have just released their latest album Movin’ On.
