Chris Blackwell is a rock and roll hall of fame inductee for his role in introducing reggae music to mainstream culture.
He is the founder of Island Records, where he put out music by Bob Marley & The Wailers, U2, Nick Drake, Cat Stevens, Nirvana, and Grace Jones, among many others.
He currently runs Island Outpost, his family of renowned luxury vacation properties throughout Jamaica, and is involved in many philanthropic organizations, including Island ACTS, the Oracabessa Foundation, the Oracabessa Bay Fish Sanctuary, and the Jamaican Conservation Trust.
