Art Matters #49 - The Hillscene (reboot!)
Intro Track: Paprika Pony, Kim Gordon, No Home Record, 2019

Todays interview was Designer and Editor of the Hillscene, Adriana Alverez.
Adriana, was the original creator of the Hilscene way back in 2010 (we think) and is the one behind the very exciting reboot - with issue #37 Autumn 2026 printed and distributed in many locations around the hills.
Featuring many local creatives, gardeners, cafes/businesses and sustainable projects - it is an engaging and very welcome read - away from the many screens.
Adriana has championed this physical space (in zine form) for us to connect and collaborate, to ponder and muse and to take time to stop and engage with something that could very well be right next door, we just hadn't found it yet.
The Hillscene will also be accessible on the web and already has a blog you can read online at www.hillscene.com
You can also get in touch with Adriana via the website if you have a story to tell or some skills to share.
We will keep you up to date with upcoming editions and call outs for the Hillscene here on Art Matters so do stay tuned for more - it is a project that has been a part of the hills for so long and I imagine it has quite a future in it yet!
