Art Matters #48 - Arthur Hull - FLOP
Intro Track: Paprika Pony, Kim Gordon, No Home Record, 2019
FLOP is an award-winning musical theatre cabaret that celebrates the best songs from the worst musicals ever written. It’s a hilarious and heartfelt tribute to the hidden gems buried inside Broadway’s biggest flops — proving that even when a show misses the mark, the music can still be absolutely brilliant.
The one making all the magic is performer Arthur Hull — a powerhouse vocalist with a background that includes circus training, busking championships, and a memorable run on The Voice.
We had a great chat today about what can make a musical a "flop" and why it's worth resurrecting these songs and giving them a second chance.
Arthur is quite the musical theatre knowledge bank!!
