Host Hadijah Munting introduces the final episode of the second four-part series Art Layers
with Hornsby Art Society. Once again avian voices from the album ‘Songs of Disappearance’ draw attention throughout the program to the plight of endangered and threatened species of Australian birds.
Joining the show once more is Chris Beard, President of the Hornsby Art Society, who
informs listeners about the 2023 exhibitions that are underway, and planned at the
Wallarobba Arts, and Cultural Centre in Hornsby.
Hadijah’s final guest for this series, Michelle Kirk, comes from a creative family where art
was a focus in the family’s daily life. For Michelle, this beginning naturally progressed to a
career in the arts. Listeners will be treated to an informal chat and a description of where her journey has taken her. And finally, listeners will enjoy another song, ‘The River’ performed by Whiplash and introduced by Kane Stewart.
