In hour 1 of The Armstrong & Getty Show:
Broadcasting live from the Abraham Lincoln Radio Studio, the George Washington Broadcast Center.
Jack Armstrong and Joe Kaddy Armstrong and Josey and he Armsrongy.
Live in Chicago at Totland Town for the Democratic National Convention. We're at the United Center the Armstrong Ngetti Show today under the tutelage of our general.
Manager, Joseph R. Biden, former candidate, formerly coherent. So he went on last night at eleven.
Thirty eleven twenty eight to be exact East Coast time, which is really really late.
Yeah, no kidding. Whose idea was that, Well, it wasn't there. It wasn't the plan. Uh. He got bumped.
Later and later and later because of a bunch of They claim because there were so many applause. Of course, that's the sort of thing you'd say as an organizer. It just was so fantastic, it went so well, the vibes and joy, there was so much joy. We couldn't contain the joy. But it just seems like poor planning to me. They bumped a bunch of stuff. Wi Washerman Schultz, who we saw yesterday here in the in the Center, just one of the biggest deals in all of democratic politics.
They bumped her, They bumped James Taylor. I want to hear fire and rain. Do I have a friend or don't I? I don't know.
Wow, So Joe Biden just bumped like the guy who has trained raccoons, who was gonna be on Letterman. At the end of the show day he says, sorry, we didn't get to Joe Biden and his trained raccoons. Well, we'll have him back as soon as possible, Thank everybody, good night.
Right, yeah, yeah, yes, exactly.
Joe is the unknown comedian who just didn't quite fit on the show and the tonight show back in the day, has Nicoll his parents bad news? How do you freaking keep bumping back the curtsying president of the United States?
Maybe like an hour, maybe the shots hadn't kicked in.
Oh, maybe doctor Jill is like the gatekeeper. Maybe she is a real doctor. You always say doctor Jill not a real doctor, really, not a real she's got a degree and pumping him full of stuff to make him coherent.
Well, she's probably got enough experience as a caregiverer. Maybe they just because that's late at night for an ancient guy who his own people admitted he can go like ten am to four pm outside of that time forget about it, well, and they did.
Is usually shouted out of speech that doesn't matter, so that none of it matters.
None of that matters with him? What does matter? And I just I was trying to figure out how to put words to this is. I took in a bunch of the convention last night.
This is the weirdest exercise in creating something out of nothing that I've ever seen, and everybody's buying into it.
What do you mean by she's she didn't win anything.
She just got named the person all of a sudden, and then everybody turned on a dime from she can't possibly win, she's a duller.
She didn't even make a diye wound.
She ran for president, right, And then all of a sudden, everybody's full throated in like it's the second coming of Reagan or Obama.
And everybody's playing along and talking.
As if she'd earned it somehow and that it didn't just fall out of the sky in the last few days.
I mean, it's only been a few weeks.
Well, and obviously the transition from praising all I'm sorry, from everybody saying good God Biden is seen island.
He's got to go.
He couldn't he couldn't beat Eric Trump, never McDonald to you know, lionizing him as the most impactful president of the last you know, two hundred and fifty years.
Every part of.
That last night was just so incredibly phony. That's what was so interesting to me.
But that was the pivot that enabled Kamlad even consider running for office. And now that's all just in the background, that's in the past.
We're so full of joy, we're so excited, we're so happy. This is so great. None of us, not a single delegate voted for her or would have. But this is the best convention ever. So does every channel have their own feed of what they're showing at any given time or is there one feed?
I don't actually know that. I don't know that.
They could be getting, you know, a dozen shots and get to chairs. I was just on the floor. There's lots of cameras, but that could just anyway. If anybody's in TV and can answer that question for an event like the DNC, I'd just love to know.
Personally. The email is mail bag at armstrong egetdy dot com.
I mean, bounce it around the different channels, and I mean they were taking it in primetime network channels too. Bounce around the different channels. Obviously, they can cut away on their own when they want to and go to an anchor or something like that. But in terms of the when there's a shot of the speaker and then they go to a shot of the crowd, I don't know if that's one feed or not. The reason I ask is I was watching a lot of CNN and the they were constantly going to Nancy Pelosi with to me, the implied statement of there's tension between this whole thing and Nancy Pelosi because she created this whole thing. She's the one that, you know, kind of politically knife the president. Yeah, and she was always chanting. She was always doing that we love Joe or thank you Joe. Yeah, always, and they would go to Nancy Pelosi constantly on that and it's all so incredibly phony, and everybody knows it. That's that's what's driving me crazy. That's that is what's striving me crazy. I knew there was something that's bothering me about it, and it's the fact.
That everybody knows it. Everybody knows every bit of this is phony.
Everyone knows it, Yes, right, Margie, Which returns me to my theme of how much politics is aimed at the.
What term should I use?
I was gonna say, dumbest twenty percent of the electorate, the twenty the least informed, the least form twenty percent just positive vibes. And you know, one of my themes today I might as well introduce it now is that nothing matters but policy. Speeches don't matter, Vibes don't matter. I'd like to have a beer with him, doesn't matter. Just looks don't matter, Eloquence doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is policy in terms of your life, right, and how politics will affect your life. And it can have a profound effect on your life. Witness your grocery bill and so, but for your kids' school. But the percent I'm talking about, they don't know that, they don't care.
All the other things you mentioned that don't matter are how you get the human being that is going to make the policy. That's the problem with the whole system. Yes, all of the things that don't matter that you mentioned are the only way you can get in a position to make the policy. It's a foot race to choose a computer programmer and every bit of it all. Last night, the all the outpouring of love for Joe was phony. Nobody was excited, nobody liked him prior to this, Yeah, and we'll play some clips. I was gonna hold onto this, but I can't resist. The hall was rife with pity.
It was the most piteous event I've ever seen in my life. The old guy had gotten knifed and shoved out the back door, and then everybody rose up and said, no, we love you so much out of pity.
Oh well, and then the enthusiasm for Kamala is all just we want our side to win. But they but they've turned it into in their minds or not if they're pretending, I don't know, but pretending she actually is the human embodiment of all these things. It's just they just want to win. And I get that each side wants to win. But she's nothing. She's she's nothing.
Although, fresh off my rereading of Animal Farm, you know, you got one great leader and the cult pledges that are allegiance that actually loves him, and then he has shoved aside, discredited, and the new guy comes on, then you actually love him again. People like us, and ninety five percent of our listeners don't.
Can't picture this, they can't feel it. They can't they don't live it like that.
But the ability to turn on a diamond become worshipful to the great Leader is something that a certain percentage of human beings have. They want a combination of mommy, daddy and Santi Claus in their politicians. And I'll bet a significant percentage of the people in the hall cheering last night we're sincere about it, one hundred percent sincere wow.
So they actually they need the human embodiment of this stuff. It's like, even if I like it, I like Ronald Reagan, but a different person with the same policies would have been perfectly fine with me. I don't care. It doesn't make any difference to me. Yeah, I want the tax rate to be a certain thing. I want, you know, regulations to be a certain thing. That's what I want.
Sure, persuasive power does matter in a democracy. I probably went too far in poo pooing, you know, some of the personality communication skills stuff, because because people need.
To be swayet. But you know, back to animal farm, and here's here's a little analysis for you, it's not actually about animal salit or re read it now, or well, yeah, we'll talking pigs. I've never seen a talking pig. I don't get this story.
No, But obviously, and if you haven't read it for years or never read it, you know, you just you can figure this out from context.
But the sheep represented human beings, a significant chunk of humanity, as did the dopey but earnest horses, and and you know the conniving pigs and visious dogs. Obviously, there is a chunk of humanity that is that easily led, and it's difficult for or conservatives who tend to be individualists to accept.
I want to talk more about that. That's the theme of the day to me after last night is just.
The weird.
Hero worshipfulness that just got dropped upon them. It's like, it's not like it is it is they They told the crowd like just a couple of weeks ago, this is the person you're going to idolize in worship. Okay, here's a picture of them. Okay, I'm in. And they don't know anymore about it, and that's enough. They were chanting white hair good, black hair bad, and now they've been taught to chant black hair good, white hair bad, and they mean it every bit as much as when it was the opp But here's here's a fun thing I was doing with some other people as part of a crowd, and it's like it's a it's a tough joke maybe for some of you to enjoy, but it just because they kept bringing up abortion.
Yeah, I mean, abortion was just through this entire thing.
And the number of women that get you know how the Republican Convention, they had the regular person that would come out and talk about things, all the regular people that are coming out and talking for the Democratic convener talking about their abortion, and so I would just throw that line into every single person that came up there. They'd go out there, and that's when I had an abortion. I mean, I just assumed that's what they were gonna say, every single kid that came out.
I'm thirteen years old and I just had an abortion. That was the theme of the night.
I am the Michigan State Treasurer, and between treasuring I have abortions, right right, exactly right right right.
I'm the delegate from Indiana. I'm here to have an abortion. Let's start the show. Officially, so we don't get in trouble. I'm Jack Armstrong, he's Joe getting on. It is only Tuesday. It really seems like next Thursday, Tuesday, August the twentieth year, twenty twenty four. Life will not be a born twenty four. We are armstrong in getting and we approve of this program. Let's begin the show officially then, according to FCC rules and regulations.
Here we go at Mark.
So one.
I'm tired about of hearing about how a two bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to rip working people out the boots of breeds trimming on our way of life.
There you go, that's a perfect example. And AOC killed it last night. She she just had that place on fire, and the woman that fights for you every day and everybody cheered like.
She didn't even make it to Iowa when she actually was in a contest. I know it, I know I wasted so much space packing. I packed the boots of greed and I wore them yesterday, but my feet are killing me, so I've gone with my running.
Shoes the boots of greed. Please.
Uh well, I got to slip in an abortion during the commercials.
So boy, oh boy.
What a weird theme to have all night long? How does the mail bag outstanding?
Cool?
That's on the way.
Our text line is for one kftcar strong, Hetty, I was rageous in a restaurant where reserved fried chicken and abortions on demand, and the crowd cheer is like crazy because you just can't get enough positive abortion talk apparently at the Democratic National Convention.
It's so weird.
Why are you so freaking enthusiastic about abortions?
I know, what is that? I get?
Like being accepting of the reality that it's right to be a fan.
Yes, like you're announcing a rock band. Everybody cheers. It's so damned weird. For most of us, it's so troubling. Here's your freedom loving quote of the day, George Orwell from nineteen eighty four, which was a truly, truly Orwellian novel in my opinion. See if this rings a bell at all.
Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue in street building has been renamed, every date has been altered, and the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute, history has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the party is always right. How did he know this stuff? May have been the most insightful person to walk the earth in the twentieth century. I don't know practically, ever, he saw the pattern with such clarity.
It's amazing. Yeah, I'm rereading all my or.
Well as I mentioned, and I think I might become some sort of weird Orwell freaks slash scholar.
Yeah.
I really satisfy my soul mailbag. Oh man, a lot of great email mailbag and armstrong and giddy dot comoll squeeze in what we can rich and beautiful green organ Right. So, my son moved to Chicago last year to go to medical school. It was my first time there, our first hour of being there. We dropped him off at the school and one block away, my wife and I see two cops putting a sheet over a dead body.
Welcome to Chicago. Wow. I got shot twice again on the way to work today. Way to the building.
Wow, I got to show you the roote I'm taking now, you got to run the whole way. But it really is a beautiful city. A couple of the attractions. It was a wonderful city. It is now tarnished with progressive policy. Hanson and I kind of went on in the town. I got to talk about that later. We had a really good Chicago time last night. Yeah, dang it, I'm sorry I missed that. I want to talk about why I missed it too. It's science. Mikey Luke Wright Jack. While you're in Chicago, try one of their abortion No, try one of their famous Marionnee sandwiches. It's called a marine sandwich because it got no meat in.
Wow, that's a throwback, Miikey, lot, that is a throwback. Tear down this wall, right, Steve from beautiful Everett, Washington. So apparently rioters knocked down three sections of fence, but the police were able to drive them back. They're two fence perimeters, so they were only able to get past the first one.
Here's my point.
Democrats tell us that walls and fences don't work, So why don't they treat the DNC convention the way they treat America. Comrade Harris, tear down this wall. Yeah, walls, they don't work.
Somewhat confusing to talk about fences and walls, and then mentioned walls, Tim Walls his big thing about selling ladders. Hey, Tim Walls, sell a ladder that's a little bit taller than this fence.
Nonsense only by dopes.
Hanson actually saw the protesters getting over the walls yesterday.
Oh wow they We should have him on to talk about that.
Yeah yeah, Anna Luisa and two hot La Mesa California Rights. Hey guys, so the corrupt, slimy, incompetent, grasping Gavin Newsom despises you. Congratulations. Where does a badge of honor? Don't back down? Time for another pizza? Oh, reference to Jack's horrific eating, I might have.
To take it. We did ribs last night. At some point, my body's gonna give out. Wow. Wow, no wonder you called bladder fled in terror.
Let's see, Maggie Wrights, here's a DNC idea for Jack, since you are bald headed, dress up as Sam Brinton, the former Biden Administration nuclear official and luggage thief. Oh the red dress and the lipstick and all of it at the DNC, just for the reactions from the Party of Inclusivity.
Wow, great idea, magg.
You got a bunch more great email will squeeze it in where we can. The reviews of Biden's speech not good, even from the some of your Democratic pundits.
But I don't think it matters at all.
It's a meaningless will be forgotten by history and should be things. Can I enjoy it? I mean its own a lot more from Chicago. On the way Armstrong and Getty show at the.
DNC Armstrong and Getty Well campaigning yesterday in Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Wallas stopped at a convenience store for Dorito's. Harris got the nacho cheese and Walls opted for extra plane.
His superpower is how normal he is. That's what they say. And as if watching your city burn not calling out the guard then encouraging the rioters as normal. Do you want to get our executive producer Hanson on a little bit later to talk about the rioters and their attempts yesterday.
To they briefly breached security a little bit.
But I want to talk a little bit about Joe Biden's speech from last night that got bumped out of primetime somehow. David Axelrod, who ran Obama's campaign in two thousand and eight, said, it feels very much like the potus is giving the speech he had planned for Thursday. Like he didn't alter his speech at all from his I'm accepting the nomination speech, which is kind of weird.
Right, It came off more as a state of the Union speech or look at all we've achieved and I'm running again speech.
It was kind of odd. Yeah, if you didn't watch or didn't stay up that late. Biden didn't go on until actually out of prime time, right when primetime what they call primetime to the extent that that matters anymore, and I don't know how much it does, but he went on at eleven thirty Eastern, which is just incredible. And brit Hume says it says a lot about the Democratic Party that it would not ask its abortion speakers to wait a while so that the President of the United States could speak speak at a reasonable hour on a night's devoted to him.
Right, but the theme of the night was thank you Joe.
They put him on after everybody was in bed, yes, saying that they could talk endlessly about abortion. Well, right now, I get the show biz you know tradition that the big act goes on the biggest act goes on last for obvious reasons, because you don't want to follow the biggest act. But if that's going to put you in the middle of the night where nobody sees it all, wait a minute.
That was the idea.
They told the guy, you're the head ha, you're the number one headlining guy.
You're gonna go on and kick ass at the end. It's gonna be at three point thirty in the morning. Do you it's gonna be like Woodstock? Do you think there's a chance that's true. I wondered that myself. Did they push him out on purpose?
So the organizers, here's the reporting, DNC convention organizers say, because of the raucous applause, interrupting speaker after speaker, we ultimately skipped elements of our program to ensure we could get to the president as quickly as possible so that he could speak directly to the American people.
Well, that's the opposite of what happened.
He absolutely did not get on into The New York Post headline is funny. It's got a good angry faced Biden pointing because he did his whole shouting thing past his bedtime. Dems deliver final insult by pushing Biden's angry, bitter speech to midnight. Yeah, because he finished. He finished today. He didn't finish yesterday. Oh goodness, his speech in honor of himself was the next day.
Yeah. I went to bad it and took it in this morning. But yeah, wow wow that.
You know, generally speaking, when the question is was it incompetence or malevolence? I usually go with incompetence, right, because I've seen much more of that. On the other hand, the conniving Democratic Party, I mean they knife Caesar right, Well, they knifed Bernie twice, once in favor of Hillary and then in favor of Biden, and then they shoved the old guy out.
Then they're pretending to love him. See, yeah, I could totally see that.
What Biden clip, do we want to get on? Well, I mean we have to get thirty three on. Let's let's all enjoy that together.
His decision over turning Robie Wade. Did you heard earlier tonight? The United States Supreme Court majority wrote the following quote, Women are not without electrical were not allowed not without electoral, electoral.
Or political power. No kidding, no kidding, what, I don't know what you just said Joe Magga.
Republicans found out the power women in twenty twenty two.
I don't know, Jovis Okay, that's good, that's good, Michael, I don't.
I don't have any idea what he said there.
I mean, the women are without electrical power thanks to JD. Evans and the of the mega, the old Trump mega Republicans. Can you imagine that? The sexism? Here's uh, how are they going to iron my shirt?
Huh?
Here's David Brooks in the New York Times, who's there comes servative columnists but likes Democrats and doesn't want Trump to win. President Biden's speech on Monday night was a reminder of why the Democrats were right to make the switch to Kamala Harris as their candidate for president. I expected something personal from Biden, ruminating on his life commitments in the hills and valleys of a long career. Instead, we got a familiar campaign speech that was about as personal and moving as a platform committee report.
I would say, yeah, and a tepid, tepid endorsement of Kamala in my opinion, but.
Yeah, wow, just to waste time.
So if they did on purpose maliciously push him out of prime time.
They made the right decision.
It didn't help them any There was no benefit to them winning the election by having more people see that.
No, No, I don't think so.
And what a moment there where he just completely lost it and he couldn't collect his thoughts and was having a serious I'm a very old man moment and the crowd rallied and cheered him.
Yeah, how, that's just pity. The hall was just staying with pity.
A couple more things on the Joe Biden delio, Jill Biden, doctor Joe Biden not her real Dark was on right before him said I watched Joe dig deep into his soul and decide to no longer seek reelection. Oh yeah, as one pundit said, yeah, that's totally how it went down.
And then so that gets to.
My theme that I was feeling all last night. Everything was phony, and I realized politics is generally a lot of phoniness and spanning all that sort of stuff. But the tribute to them, they all wanted him gone, true, nobody liked him. The love of Kamala Harris is based on nothing other than your hatred of Trump, But quit acting like you love her.
So much.
You didn't love her when she was running for president. You didn't love her enough to even stay in the race for the first voting. She had never she has never received a vote.
Well, that's I think the measure of relief that Biden is gone that any alternative that Kamala find, she never want to vote.
She's a terrible advice. Where we were ready to chuck her about.
Six months ago, she fine, fine, if she's it, fine, great, as long as it's not the old guy.
And then going through the whole rules of the patriotic Joe Biden did the right thing for his country by volunteering.
The's completely a lie and everybody knows it. That's the part that bothers me the most. Everybody knows this is all phony and they're still doing.
So who is this for?
It's that twenty percent of the electorate that swings elections.
I think I don't know.
I think it's some weird different psychological thing that we try to will things into existence or into being sometimes. Yeah, like you know, if your sports team isn't winning, or your marriage isn't working, or your business isn't threight, you.
Just kind of we're gonna continue to gung owe it.
Well, just hope that it somehow overwhelms the negatives. And if you're talking about the power brokers of the Democratic Party, because the voters certainly don't run the show, they deal with. Biden included, we will lionize you, we will not humiliate you. We will go way over the top to say it was your decision. You're a patriot, You've done more than a two term president. So what's the There's no need for a second term because you kicked so much ass.
That's our end of the bargain. And they're holding it up and some people, you know, some emailers have said, no, that's not it, blah blah blah.
Trust me.
You got a guy looking at the end of his life and the end of his career. His legacy is something he thinks about a lot, and they swore to him his legacy would be that of the lion of democracy.
So they're pouring it on.
You know, I'm the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking they did push him out of primetime on purpose. I mean, if you're willing to ouset the guy from the presidency, yeah, why wouldn't you bump him back?
On a speech. I mean, that's a minor thing compared to.
That Nancy Pelosi herself, who is there in the front row, constant and somebody. Let us know, each network gets fed all eight cameras from the camera pool, because I've seen him in there.
I was just in there.
They got eight cameras up there facing all these different directions. Yeah, everybody gets the same eight cameras, but then each network gets to choose which feed to take and then kind of cracked their own things.
Yeah.
Fair, but so CNN, I don't know about other people. They kept going to Nancy Pelosi. They went to Nancy Pelosi fifty times while I was watching last night when she's chanting we love Joe, thank you Joe, and all that sort of stuff, and clearly just to drive home the point of well, I don't know what you point.
Do you think they were trying to drive home because.
They were trying to oh CNN, yeah, oh Nancy all the time.
There's the.
Victim and the perpetrator. I mean, was that was the storyline. There's the guy got knifed, there's the chicken knife gill, and then the fineness of pretending that you love him so much yeah, which is something. But so I mentioned that because of this so old Joe Biden gets off the plane and they shout some questions at him, and the audio is so low we won't play it for you. I'll just read it. Somebody yelled at Joe, are you angry at Nancy Pelosi? This is what he landed in Chicago yesterday? And by the way, Joe Biden's motor came delayed. Hanson and I get into our rib dinner. What we're in the lift, We're head over America. We're headed over to Twin Anchors to get our ribs, which were the best ribs I've ever had in my life. And Joe Biden was leaving the Omni Hotel and man, there's like fifty vehicles and sirens and motorcycles and ambulances and the beast at one point, I think that was a beast out and there were several cars that looked like that.
They got a bunch of decoy beasts. It really delayed me.
So when he was at the airport, somebody yells at him, are you angry at Nancy Pelosi?
Are you going to speak with her?
Biden said, no, I haven't spoken to Nancy at all. No one influenced my decision, no one knew it was coming.
Wow.
Now, wow, he might actually have convinced himself of that that he didn't gave it y he get pushed out right. I made that decision completely on my own. You're lucky I did.
Wow.
I have believed for years that Oj Simpson, his soul right now is being jabbed by Satan with a pitchfork. He believed, he believed he did not kill his wife.
I believe that.
Because you can, you can make your mind overcome a lot. But yeah, I guess he believes that. That is so sad. Everybody knows what happened, everybody.
And everyone knows it's right, Mark.
Chall you say that, and I think you're right. But there were I don't know, eighteen twenty thousand. How many people does this place hold? People in there chanting we love you, Some people with.
Tears streaming down their cheeks. What is wrong with you? You crazy person? Wear a helmet? Friend? Do you have a soft soft head? Yes?
Well, I think there are different sorts of people that they're the Macavelians. Who are you know, Nancy Pelosi and the party leadership. There's the you know, the true believers like this, like Sean Faine, the AFLCIA is Cio guy.
Do we have any of his clips? We got to get some clips of him.
Man, that dude maybe the most combative human being on earth. You know, some people they wake up and they go for a jog or or something. I'm confident Sean Fain wakes up every morning and he fights a guy before coffee. They just bring in a different pipe fitter every day for him to fight.
Then he makes his coffee. But anyway, you got I guess he's kind of semi macavilion himself. But they think, all right, if what we got to do to get power and pass the policies we want is to chant we love Joe. We love Joe and pretend she's the second coming. Get to chanting, he tells his people, and then you've got the tears string and streaming down the cheeks.
Soft heads, who are the sheep here? I mean? And both parties have him.
I'd like to think, given the individualism of conservatism.
There are fewer on our side of the aisle.
But yeah, the people who actually in that moment believe we do love Joe, and he did decide to get out of the way because he's a patriot.
What are you gonna do with those people? They're just dopey.
Then they had like a thirteen year old girl walk out there and say, I wish my mom had aborted me. I wouldn't be here, that would be fantastic, And the crowd cheered abortion. Once again, they cheered abortion more than they cheered Kamala last night.
Yeah, weirdo. It was a facet of every speech.
That's why I organized labor, built this country, and by the way, built a bunch of abortion clinics.
So yeah, Kamala, Yeah, exactly.
Next time you're getting abortion and you turn on the tap, you think a pipe fitter.
The Union guys say union abortion. Jeez.
All right, we got to Katie's headlines and a bunch of other stuff on the waist to hear live at Chicago all week long at the Democratic National Convention where they are trying to steal the mantle of patriotism. I didn't realize until last night, read some analysis and then listening to speeches. They think they can take patriotism back from the Republicans who have kind of owned that for decades. It's obviously seen as a weak point that they need to beefop because self conscious demands that people chant Usa USA last night were notable. Yeah, Man, as a show based in northern California, were surrounded by lefties who actually hate America and think were the root of all evil. It's kind of interesting that they're making this turn. I'm wondering if it's going to work.
Yeah, well, I think that's astute politics. We were talking about it yesterday on the show.
The statistics for the way the parties are viewed by most Americans, which party is more patriotic.
I mean, it's like a landslide and.
You're never going to get working class America other than union.
Guys right with that pitch.
But again, I'm somewhat influenced by my environment in northern California. But there had to be a lot of Democrats watching that last night that were like, really uncomfortable without I love this country stuff, because I know plenty of people that would never say that. I find that to be a sickening sentiment.
Right.
That was one of my greatest one of my favorite ironic points that were made by commentators during the Obama years, As he would say, this is the greatest country on Earth, and it.
Needs to be changed fundamentally. Let's figure out who's reporting what today. It's the lead story with Katie Green. Katie, thank you, guys. Starting with ABC News.
Gun violence and abortion among top issues in DNC platform.
Yeah, well, I didn't hear much of the gun violence. I heard plenty of the abortion talk. Yeah, and hey, how much have you prosecutors, I don't know, prosecute people who violent gun laws instead of removing all enhancements for being armed and that sort of thing.
Gee, that's a little ironic.
I went in Neiman Marcus and I had a sign on all the doors that said no guns allowed.
I thought, that's hilarious.
Oh shoot, better leave mine out on the side exactly. That'll keep the that'll keep the murderers out.
That's sign from the Free Beacon. Oops.
DNC releases official party platform.
Touting the wrong candidate. Oh and they hadn't changed it yet.
From NBC News, Israel recovers the bodies of six hostages from Gaza. Usays progress has been made in the truce talks.
That reminds me something I learned yesterday from a Democratic strategist. Their biggest concern about the pro Palestinian protesters.
Got to talk about that.
From the Washington Post, FBI concludes Iran tried to hack the campaigns of Trump, Biden.
And Harris.
Yeah, of course they aren't. Yeah, boy, they've gotten really aggressive. They have not lashed back at Israel yet. And I was doing some interesting reading about that they are so vulnerable. They can't get into a full on fist fight. They can't protect their homeland for one thing.
From Fox News, Biden rehashes debunked Trump Charlottesville claim in late late night speech.
Yeah.
I couldn't believe that he went there in his headed out the door, last big speech of his life once again. And I saw the looks on their faces with their torches, and I thought, that kind of hate can't return to this country.

But right now, man, they're rolling, and it's going to be that way for a few days anyway, right right, And all of the fancy talk, the soaring rhetoric is just silly. Look at where the money has flowed, all the trillions of dollars inflationary pressures, by the way, that have been spent, Look where it's flowed, and you get where a lot of those votes come from. What's the biggest worry of Democrat campaign organizers about what could happen at the convention.
We'll tell you about that.
