In hour 1 of The Armstrong & Getty Show live at the RNC:
Broadcasting live from the Abraham Lincoln Radio Studio, the George Washington Broadcast Center, Jack Armstrong and Joe, Katty Armstrong and Jakie en he Arms live from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Biggest city in Wisconsin, not the capitol though that's Madison. Sometimes the biggest city is the capital and sometimes it's not, depends on the state. Four hours of Wisconsin Trivia Today. Welcome to the Dairy State. The Republican National Convention, which has been a hoot so far, and it is Trump Day. He gives a speech tonight. But here's my question, who's the speech attacking? Has he written a speech to go after Biden? I feel like every line in the speech that talks about the problems with Joe Biden is a wasted line. Well right, exactly. So you know, whenever he speaks to ten o'clock Central tonight, he's gonna have the speech in hand ready to go on the teleprompter or whatever. The announcement's gonna come, and they're gonna have to scratch out Biden and write in the damn Democrats, the damn Democrats TBD. He'll just say TBD over an over, Honestly, wonder so the story was he reworked the speech completely after he got shot.
Are they gonna have to rework it again?
Because attacking all the speeches last night in light of the news that broke his say, I'm assuming you news junkies who are listening to us right now know this, all kinds of democratic forces have aligned against Joe Biden. Doesn't mean he has to step down still his decision, but a lot of movement on that. Anyway, it looks way more likely that Joe Biden ain't gonna be the candidate now than it did twenty four hours ago. And if that's the case, all those speeches last night about Joe Biden did this, and Joe Biden, I thought, what are we doing here? Right right? It is kind of uh, well, it's utterly unprecedented. I just mean, because there's certainly been many times there wasn't an incumbent and incumbent to take shot at yet I guess back in the day. But yeah, this is just nuts. I'm surprised that they didn't rewrite all of those to talk about kind of the generic Democrats.
Or or whatever. Well.
Yeah, although it looked like the old bastard was going to hang on, Uh not by the speeches last night, though most of the news had broken by the speed to the big speeches last night, right, right, Yeah, what an odd position to be and I don't know, throw out the playbook, as they say, with the biggest news being that Nancy Pelosi has been well this this happened over the weekend, and if Trump hadn't been shot, I'm sure this would have been reported heavily because it would have leaked out or whatever. But Schumer went and talked to Joe Biden in person on Saturday, leader of the Senate Democrats and leader of the Senate, and went and talked to Biden, said you can't win. Whether he told he needs to step down or not, nobody knows for sure, but it sounds like Nancy Pelosi did the same thing. Everybody's saying that Adam Schiff coming out yesterday publicly and calling for Biden to step down as a nominee was actually Nancy Pelosi talking. They're tight, and you know, she's the most powerful person. Really, she's probably the most powerful Democrat in the country, but she's certainly the most powerful Democrat in California. So that was a message from Nancy Pelosi. So although that had happened during the day, right, And my favorite aspect of this was the weekend meeting you may have heard about. It was a teleconference, I guess, with a bunch of concerned Democratic Congress people, including a bunch of moderates who are afraid of losing their seats. It was not really fully leaked that Biden went full angry old man, calling it lester Holt. But you know, are you're not going to support me. You get the hell out, mister president. We're just letting you know your concerned. You get out, You'll get off my lawn. Yeah, he's done what three four interviews in the l last forty eight hours that have gotten almost no attention in the media because of Trump being shot in the convention, But they've gotten attention among your Chuck Schumer's and Anti Pelosi's, your leadership in the Democratic Party. They are watching those and saying it just keeps getting worse. We can't turn this around. This is over right. We wondered if the lester Holt thing was resonating at all, but it was absolutely resonating where it needs from the Democrat's point of view. But again, that leaves Republicans and conservatives in a hell of an odd place because it is not out of the question. Well, let me start with the most likely side of a weirdly misshapen coin. It's most likely you run somebody up the flag pole really quickly, more or less unvetted, they stumble like Scott Walker we talked to for quite a while yesterday. What a great guy, but he didn't have the chops for the presidential thing, or he was badly advised whatever. But that happens nineteen times out of twenty, right, So that's by far the most likely. But from a Republican point of view, it's not in possible that a Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania could come off as as a kind, smart, compassionate Ninety percent of your voters have never heard of him in it ever name, let alone know what he's like, which is why the nineteen out of twenty thing exists. But it would be so intensely covered it's not impossible. Okay. I've taken in so much information on this in the last twenty four hours, just in the last couple hours, with some of the best punditry in America talking about this, and it's funny I just listened to this long zoom call with a whole bunch of different people on it. But they're going through the different you know, levers, machinations, all the different sorts of things, and at the end they all said, you know what, maybe they should just stick with Biden because it's so incredibly complicated. Man, you talking about Josh Shapiro. Okay, how you gonna how you're gonna get him to be the nominee?
Right?
What is your method for making him the nominee?
Unless Nancy Pelosi could just waive her wand and she might have a want, we have confirmed that, unless she could wave her wand and say this is who we're going with, this is our best choice, get in line or get out, and she can't. I mean, our system doesn't allow for that kind of power. That's the only way you could get a Josh Shapiro or a Gavin Newsom or whatever without a hell of a blood fight. Josh, this is not a suicide mission, per se. This is a mission to save it. Because he's probably got a theatrical false beard on right now.
MS.
Driving one hundred and twenty miles per hour into the deep woods, you're thinking some of these people don't want to be the nominee. Oh yeah, oh yeah. They're thinking, why would I come off as the big loser for a one in whatever shot. So we've got to talk about we'll get into some of the cloth you've got the Gavin. Gavin is clearly fully turgent, all right, John. So that's that's where it gets complicated. There are a handful of people and factions out there that ain't gonna give it up easily. I just I was on a podcast with some people who know Nancy Pelosi talking about her three iron laws of power that I thought were really interesting. We can talk about those later, but and her flying monkeys of influence. Don't turn her back on those things. Sorry, a house fell on your sister. We should start to show officially. I'm Jack Armstrong, He's Joe Getty, live from Milwaukee and the Republican National Convention on Thursday, July the eighteenth year, twenty twenty four. Life is not a boor in twenty four or Armstrong and getting we approved of this program.
Let's begin officially then.
According to FCC rules regulations, the show begins at mark when.
Donald Trump rose to his feet, and at Pennsylvania Field. All of America stood with him.
Joe must go. Joe done, went Nancy Glosers down in the front row, got that true starting. Oh brother, yeah, Joe's gone already. Joe's gone already, all right. When I was hearing that chat, I thought, okay, yeah, what a weird situation again? Is Trump redoing his speech tonight to take on you generic democrats? Is I think I accussed out Kevin McCarthy right there? Yes? Is it? Yes? That is? You don't think so? Hanson, Yeah, we got to get into that hole. McCarthy gates people yelling at each other saying we're we're hoping to get Kevin McCarthy on. I wish I could run into him, because he knows us well, going back way back in the day at Suir and he would he would come on, and I think if we could get him wound up, that'd be awesome.
Anyway, that's a different story.
I remember way back in the day, i'd go down to Bakersfield and we'd water ski together, and sometimes we'd do that thing where he's on the skis and I'm on his shoulders waving to the folks on the shore. Good times and.
You're really short. Sixties shorts exactly, bathing suits.
Exactly, my ray bans. Listening to the Beach Boys. How are you today, Katie? How you doing?
Oh?
I'm doing well.
There are things back in California.
Oh yes, I don't want to talk about it. I got to tell you what it is tough. I'll talk about this more later. I read it a car yesterday. I wanted to get away from all this madness, and I drove down to south west Wisconsin where I grew up, and.
I hadn't been there in a very long time.
And being out in rural real America where there aren't holmeless people and craziness, Yeah, and what is that like? And it was just I thought, this is a way most people in America are living, right, and they have a completely different view of things than we're.
Going back to.
And they quite appropriately appropriately view a lot of the blue cities and states as the human zoo. Yeah, they think, how can you put up with that? And the answer is not, well, no traffic, no street people is just I mean, that's why a lot of America is a lot of America.
And that's that's one thing.
You're You're the coastal elites don't realize when they're trying to look at how did this happen or that happen with voting, they haven't.
Driven through these areas.
I was driving through yesterday, Flyover country, Yeah, where there are all of the you know, lovely attributes you talk about. You walk into the grocery store and say, hey, Jim and that sort of thing, and they think that's pathetic and worthy of contempt. Good point I was. I was in an IgA yesterday, in a tiny little town. I had to go in to get something in some bottle of or or something like that. Not a thing locked up anywhere, of course not why would it be right? Yeah, anyway, how does mail bag look? Oh, it's quite good worth doing. Yeah, we will go through some of the speeches last night, including jd Vance with his first giant moment on the big stage for America, and Trump speaking tonight, and we're gonna line up some guests today. And then you've got the background of course of this is so historic. The sitting president may quit today, who knows. So anyway, that's all on the way. Our text line is four one five two nine kftc Armstrong. I was concerned it was going to be boring this week here and are going to struggle to come up with things to talk about. Uh, that has not been a problem. Like we didn't even mention a couple of giant stories in our opening. The president has COVID, so that's its own current thing. Yeah, the current president has COVID. How long does that keep it or does he right?
That's a decent question.
Did you see him walk off the plane last night? I see that video up this state. He came, he came down late. When he went back home after finding out he had COVID, God, he was sold.
You know, some days he just looks older than that.
I mean, he had that weird lifting his knees up in a jerky way trying to walk, and then he stopped once and just kind of looked around like he forgot where he was.
It was weird.
And when Jake Tapper did it live and Jake Tapper said, he seems to be spacing out a little right here. Jake Tapper is cutting on CNN, is cutting the president no slack whatsoever? Oh and then and then no other thing is more developments in the near assassination of Trump and more videos and more how in the hell did this happen? How did it go on so long? Blah blah blah, So god, dang it, there's a lot to talk about. Yeah, still utterly inexplicable. Here's your freedom loving quote of today, going with who else but Donald J. Trump got a couple for him. As long as we have faith in each other and trust in God, then there is no goal at all beyond our reach. There is no dream too large, no task too great. Sounds speech writer, but it's fine. The guy gets credit for what is the speech greaders? The speech writers do? I like this one. Nothing is easy, but who wants nothing? Then finally this that's actually pretty good. Yeah, I mean it's kind of a twist. But in this, you know, I'm like a smart person.
I've got him.
I've got a section of the interview from back several years ago when somebody asked him if he'd seen JD. Vance's movie, and he clearly had not. Beclaimed he had beautiful mail Bagswoode mail bag at Armstrong and Getty dot com email addressed right the Red Hillbilly elogy. He clearly had not read it, didn't even know what it was about. For analogy, it was well to Hillbillies. We had no elergy? Is that sort of waiting for analogy? And JD delivered and then the Hillbillies showed up. So SW says a couple of things about this week shows that monesty does not permit me to read.
But thank you very much. You're very kind the.
Excitement and optim optimism mixed in with your cynical I'll be a clever delivery of the news. Your show has been missing for a while. I know it's only a matter of time before you get canceled. So long overdue email. Thank you for giving me, my family and I something to bond over for the last twenty plus years. That says more nice things. Thank you, Thank you for perspective. I am twenty nine, my dad is sixty five and Papa is ninety three, and we all listen. Awesome. I hope you know the positive impact you have in our mornings. I am getting a little misty, s W. Thank you so much for the note cynical yet what that's pretty good, sir. Just a cynical albeit clever I'll be cynical clever delivery of the news.
There you go.
Thanks, this's W. That's sweet. Ah. Greg Rights seems the best way to get you to read emails to completely disagree with you. On Monday, you guys made a statement that was completely inaccurate, false in an attempt to spread disinformation fake news. You said you did way too much silliness for such an important day. No way, I listened because of the silliness. I stay for the news and politics. Oh thanks, Greg, Yeah, yeah, we're trying to have fun, of course. Yeah.
Ah, let's see.
Oh, the ratio of silliness to news is always a delicate balance, sure, and it's completely a gut feeling. Like Trump, we trust our guts. Ye oh, speaking of my gut, good lord. Coming off a vacation week eating like a hog, the scale very cruel.
Then I go on the road.
For a week and I'm thinking I got to start eating better than it dawns on me. I got a family reunion coming up, and then the convention in Chicago.
You might as well just order a rag on a stick now.
Oh yeah, how you're going to be washed yourself soon, sweat with hands and triple XLT. You'll be washing yourself with a rag on a stick, right, Uh? Got this note from Joe Biden. I'm sick dot dot dot. Then you open the email of Elon Musk trying to buy this election for himself and his billionaire buddies, and then he's asking for money. I want to talk about political emails later when we have time. Okay, Dan in oh possum tet in North Carolina? You know I lived in North Carolina for a while. Dan, I don't recall seeing opossum teet on the maps. But guys, after listening to Wednesday show Learning Waste to Skin, my Orcus has one hundred percent confidence in the Secret Service director. I've had his Weasley voice going through my head all day saying the building was secure, My god, the border is secure. The building was secure, thanks Dan. And as a security friend of mine said last night on the phone when I was talking to him, imagine this conversation if Trump's head had turned into red mist in four K on television, which it almost did, and the whole well, it was a slope roof to that point, Star Wrights, the excuse of the head of the Secret Service the roof was too dangerous so to be posted there.
Blah blah blah.
That's the worst excuse anybody's ever put out for anything from what I saw, She writes, the Secret Service agents huddled around the President to shield him from the bullet. Right, if secret Service agents are trained to take that risk, how could slightly sloped roof be more risky to agents than taking a bullet? She needs to be fired, as Reagan said, like that day before yesterday. Yeah, that is Maybe the most troubling aspect of the Biden administration is their complete lack of accountability.
There's no such thing as failing so much you should be replaced, right, which is nuts.
I think that may come from Biden's utter spineless character and his half a century in quote unquote public service, which I want to choke on their phrase. All he cares about is just keeping it back, slapping the backs, keeping everybody in their gig. Do people like him just think once you get a government job, you should keep it until you die, no matter what your performance. Apparently apparently yes. Well, I've got so much to catch you up on. I hope you can stay here live from Wisconsin. Joe must go, Joe must go.
I want all Americans to go and watch the video of a would be assassin coming a quarter of an inch from taking his life.
Consider the lies they told you about Donald Trump.
And then look at that photo of him defiant, fist in the air. When Donald Trump rose to his feet in that Pennsylvania field, all of America stood with him, that.
Young firebrand JD. Vans only thirty nine and that sometime yeah crazy as as somebody pointed out yesterday, he's the first person on a presidential ticket born after the Karate Kid movie.
We are live in walking through Republican National Convention. That was JD.
Van Sender from Ohio, who's now the vice presidential running mate for Donald Trump, at his first big national speech. Everything changed after wax On wax off. Right, let's hear another clip of JD fifty four, Michael, and then we can comment.
Now, I think our disagreements actually make us stronger. That's what I've learned in my time in the United States Senate, where sometimes I persuade my colleagues and sometimes they persuade me. And my message to my fellow Americans those watching from across the country is shouldn't we be governed by a party that is unafraid to debate ideas and come to the best solution.
So what an interesting situation? Well, let me just read this. Here's some reporting from Jonathan Swan, and I know this is accurate because it has been going on.
For a while.
Rupert Murdoch of Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Fox, who were as hard as anyone to talk Trump out of picking jd Vance sitting in the suite with the President last night during the speech. Also sitting next to Murdoc Lindsey Graham, who tried to talk Trump out of choosing JD. Vance. So that's just part of the whole how people come together afterwards, right, And that seems like a deliberate gesture that look, right, I went with the other guy, But that doesn't mean we're not buds, right, that's that's that's some coalition building. Yes, yeah, yeah, it is smart. Don Junior famously advocated hard for JD. Vance. Why do you think that is? Why did Why did Trump want him? Why did why did the because he's trumpy? Well, yeah, I think that's part of it. He's very very smart. He's Don Junior's generation, and I think Don Junior maybe gets why he's the right man for the time in a way that his dad doesn't quite. I mean, that's just completely speculative. Obviously, well, a lot of the like National Review Republican crowd really doesn't like eight Vance's economic policies. And I thought man as on display on CNN last night because after the speech, the first punditry from Dana Bash and some of the Van Jones on CNN was that could have that speech could have been given by Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren all.
The economic stuff.
Yeah, I'm not sure i'd go that way, go that far, but I see their point and I want to get into that in depth. I read an absolutely fabulous piece that was laying out what the philosophy is there, and I get it.
I completely get.
His life story is beyond I mean, I mean, nobody can nobody can knock his life story. It's fantastic. It's almost too much. If it were a script, it's almost too much. Yeah, I mean it is Lincoln esque. Now, I'm not going to compare him to Lincoln. That would make me a maroon. He's got a beard, moving along, just growing up with that incredible hard scrabble distance, serving in the military, building a business career that's been rising quickly to the US Senate.
Mom's a drug addict.
Oh Dad, non factor right right, raised by his grandma and grandpa. I guess grandma kind of ran the house me Ma, mama, mama. Charming speech last night. I take it you found it somewhat annoying that moments. I am not a fan of the trying to get a chant going thingy. I'm just not a fan of that. But maybe that does not come off as jive for other people as it does for me. They're trying to get like a catchphrase going sort of thing.
The actual speaking part.
I thought he's better at that than practically anybody who's whoever does it. I don't know why other people can't sound like that when they speak, just talk. Yeah, I found it. Well, tell me this, how much would you respect for me drop? If I used the term adorable? I thought it was charmingly professional yet real guy ish, uh huh. And if he can maintain that and not becomes some sort of swamp creature his places, his upside is unlimited. Yeah, I think ultimately, I mean in reality is I don't think the vice presidential speech at any convention has ever mattered a whole lot. We're in the business of you talk about these things the day after or the night of or whatever, because that's what everybody does. But ultimately, I don't think it's going to matter a heck of a lot whether it was fantastic or horrible. You know, it's like the follow up to the State of the Union address, right, the response I should say, you know, I'll just avoid horrible. Yeah, And I thought, honestly, he knocked it out of the park to the extent that that matters at all. So when Trump speaks tonight, man, I mean, because there were some speeches last night. Did you see Peter Navarro, Yes, I mean with his whole thing. Now, It's interesting. Fox runs way fewer of the Republican speeches at the convention than CNN or m NBC, way fewer, including to my horror, and you already know this if you follow us on Twitter. CNN ran the entirety of the gold Star families utterly devastating, and I that term is overused. It was devastating take down of Biden and his lack of taking well, first of all, the terrible withdrawal from Afghanistan, the lack of regard for their children being killed, him claiming in a speech not long ago, a few days ago, but nobody's been killed on my watch and they sat at home with their jaws. I gape. And then that is that is that is maybe the worst thing he's ever said, and he said some pretty horrible things for him to to say that in the debate, and like hardly any comment on it either from the media claim that nobody has died on his watch, what are you talking about? And then the gold Star family is contrasting that with Donald Trump seeking them out personally and engaging with them for hours and letting them pour out their souls to him and and their regard for him. It was, it was utterly devastating. CNN ran every single minute of it, and the video that they put together was beautifully, heartbreakingly done. Fox News had Sean Hannity yucking it up with some pundits.
Isn't that interesting?
Yeah? It is. It is. But Peter Navarro, who's in uh, the just the whole Trump world.
If you don't you don't know who he is, it doesn't really matter.
But he'd just gotten out of jail literally, Yeah, that day, he flies straight, He flies straight from jail to Pierre in Milwaukee to the convention. And then he gets up there and says they're coming for you. They're gonna lock you up too. They locked up me. They're trying to lock up Trump. They're gonna try to lock up you. Yeah, so you know, I mean from the hole, let's tone down the rhetoric so we don't inspire crazy people to be violent. Yeah. Well that you know, we predicted if you, if you convince me, they're gonna come lock me up. I'm you know, kind of gives me license to do anything. Yes, Well, if that sentiment hung around for a cup of coffee, it was a small what do they call the smallest Starbucks? It was a small cup of coffee. That's over back to battling. Well, I'm surprised that somebody didn't want him to tone down that speech, or or they think they need a certain amount of that flavor for the people on the floor, because it was well received. People cheered like crazy. I mean, he might have got the best reception of anybody I've heard this week. Yeah, Peter Navarro was one of Trump's top people on trade, which was one of Trump's top priorities. He is absolutely brilliant and to my mind, slightly cuckoo for cocoa puff. But he's got a really hot looking girlfriend who he dragged up on stage.
I didn't see that. I was listening to watch you.
Yeah, he dragged his really attractive several years as JUNI you're not, that's my business up on stage with her white jeans and oh really and her red, white and blue top. And that's a pretty trumpy thing to do. Oh yeah, yeah, and see I have hot a female companionship, so that makes me special. Yeah, which the weird thing. Well, and he'd just gotten out of jail, so I'm guessing, you know, on the Lyrid jed over. Yeah, you know. I mean, I've been and I've been doing time a man gets some man gets a low bit. I don't think I need to anymore. Anyway, where were we at? Jade Van's giving a very effective speeches. And when I say his upside is unlimited, I realized, Yes, he's the vice president of the United States, so yes, he could be the president. I just mean in terms of effectiveness and persuasiveness and and just the leadership. I guess my problem is, I don't really think I have any idea what he actually believes because of his his his two different personalities. Thing that he's done.
Yeah, I think I know, but it's with low certainty.
I don't believe that he didn't understand who or what Trump was and then got to know him and changed his mind.
I believe he knew exactly what Trump was.
And didn't like that kind of politics, but then realized that's the direction.
The wind is blowing through. You know, I'm gonna get.
Him try right, right and honestly, I mean because Jade Vans, I don't know what his IQ is, but it's way up there. It's made me crazy through the years listening to Trump try to explain something that I care about a great deal, and he's terrible at it frequently and to a guy with the intellect of JD and his writing skills, maybe it made him nuts in the same way it did me. But you know, then he saw Wow. I love the trade policy, at least most of it. I love how he came off as a hard ass to our foreign adversaries because you have to, and you know, I could go down the line his compassion for the middle class. I mean that was not at all clear when the billionaire glided down the escalator, or even in his first campaign, because there were times at the rallies I thought, he's just telling these people what they want to hear.
He's pandering.
But the more I see, the more I think, no, he's not spending those hours with the gold Star families for political reasons. I think he means it speaking of working class and regular people. I've had. Now my third black Uber driver, tell me, you know what Trump's going to fix this? Cry he was all upset about the crime thing. There's Peter Navarro right there. Yep, there he goes, mister Navarro. Terrific speech, terrific. Look at Joe good, look at look at Joe Getty work in the room. Yeah wow, how does she wear heels that high and walk around this building? As I said, Oh, the third black uber driver i've had who's super enthusiastic about Trump. I mean, I know that's anecdotal, but that is something. Yeah in a blue in a blue city. Yeah, three black men who've been full throated Trump supporters. Two of them saying I wasn't before, but now I am.
This guy was.
His thing was all about crime and how they let people out of jail and nobody gets punished for anything.
And Trump's going to turn that around.
So wow, Yeah, I would say if you're the sort of person who you know to talks about politics or reaches out, or maybe you're in the media yourself or something like that. You can't underestimate the power of hearing the same thing since you were a little kid. We've talked about this, how difficult it is to unlearn something or unbelieve something. You always stick with the first thing. And if you've been raised your entire life that the Democrats have our backs and the Republicans are racists and hate us, that's difficult to unlearn. But you know, part of it is is Trump aggressively reaching out and oh, I've got some great analysis of how he has ignored the conventional wisdom about reaching out to black in brown America and that's why he's been so successful. That I just love and we'll get into that later if we have time. But you've got to understand that these people, so many people in you know, black community, brown community, whatever, have grown up hearing that their entire lives, and it's going to take a while for them to connect policy, to outcome and realize. Like Amber Rose, what was the model app rappers name, something close to Rose, Daisy Daisy I can't remember, but anyway, she was talking about that. How as soon as she started to look into it, She's like, where are these monsters I've been hearing about? Where are these poisonous attitudes I've been hearing about? I'm not seeing it? And that will continue that direction, and I think it's snowballs. It almost has to when given the perversity of the social issue left. I'm not talking about abortion, we can argue about that all day, but you know, the gender bending madness crap, the letting criminals loose on the streets of where these people live.
But it's not Georgetown.
Well it is Georgetown actually in DC to some extent, but it's not like the tony suburbs of Fairfax County, Virginia right next to DC that are getting besieged with crime. It's where these people live.
We gotta take a break.
But do you think Trump will have a tone down, uniting speech or do you think he'll be closer to Peter Navarro and what Trump would have been before he got shot.
Absolutely toned down and unifying.
And his people are working frantically as we speak to incorporate whoever the Democrats run right right, he might he probably has a joke or two about that, or he will insert them. Oh yes, oh yeah yeah. If you can get action on that proposition, take it, because he will. We'll definitely be in the hall tonight for the Trump speech. A lot more on the white stay with us, armstrong, and Yet.
I went to my childhood home yesterday.
I drove two and a half hours southwest of Milwaukee to Little Cuba City, Wisconsin, town of two thousand people where I went to grade school, and nothing had changed at all. But anyway, I tweeted out a picture of my old monkey bars from when I was a kid. The monkey bars are still in the playground. So the monkey bars they do not allow in California because they're too dangerous. They still have the same monkey bars there. Did you go across them?
That's the big question. I hung upside down by my knees and swung for Loell.
I'm surprised. Well, it's Wisconsin, so you can still call them monkey bars. I'm surprised that, you know, California, for instance, your Blue States haven't decided that that species is or demeaning to monkeys or something like that. And the same tall metal slide was still there. When slides were metal and they would get eight million bares hot. Yeah, we're drinking out of hoses and scalding our asses on slides.
What are the headlines there, Katie Green, Well, let's start with the Free Beacon quote. Time is running out families of hamas hostages plead for action at the RNC.
Yeah, it is. It is amazing that that is not a bigger topic that like news, cable news shows don't have a number down in the corner counting to days that the hostages have been held, right, that sort of thing. It's inconvenient to the narrative, apparently, or something from the New York Post calls for unity.
Jd Vance delivers soulstring first remarks as Trump's VP.
Was your soulster. Some people's were, some people's weren't.
From the Daily Beast quote rambling Biden gets nasty with bronze star Democrat on zoom call.
Yes, we're gonna talk more about that.
