President Trump was defending the war with Iran and the resulting higher gas and energy prices with a poorly worded comment that seemed to suggest he’d be fine with Iran taking out Los Angeles and San Diego. Trump was trying to say that the higher prices Americans are paying are a small price to pay, rather than having Iran take out an American city. The problem was, the way he stated it sounded like he was inciting Iran to take them out and that has elicited several strongly worded reactions from mayors, and the California governor, saying Trump actively threatened and encouraged attacks on American lives.
