On this 25th anniversary, we all remember the fallen victims of 9/11.  We hear the names of those who were taken in the attacks on the twin towers, the Pentagon and on United Flight 93 in Shanksville Pennsylvania, but did you know there were 11 unborn babies who also died that day and in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing? We tell the stories of the pregnant women and their unborn children, who remain unaccounted for in the final tally of 2,977 victims, but are memorialized at ground zero with the words “and unborn child” following their mothers’ names.
