His staff and father, former New Jersey Governor Tom Kean Sr., have only referenced that the congressman is “addressing a personal health matter.” Just last week, a local New Jersey reporter said he spoke to the Congressman by phone, where Kean confirmed he is still running for re-election. Kean released a statement in mid April saying he expects to return to a full schedule and be at 100 percent, but in the meantime his whereabouts and condition remain a mystery.
