It was another emotional, and at times contentious day as the defense continues to call witnesses to the stand to prove Lindsay Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she killed her three young children. Clancy’s former mother-in-law took the stand and described what she witnessed from Lindsay in the months leading up to the murders, testifying she was begging for help and desperately wanted to get better. The prosecution pushed back, and at one point after asking Susan Clancy about her Catholic faith, asked if she realized that murder is considered a mortal sin. The judge told jurors to disregard the question, but the prosecution continued its argumentative questioning of several defense medical experts throughout the day.
