Yes, you read that headline correctly.  Diana Sanders, a nurse from California, bought a “Cheers!” drink package on a 3 day Carnival Cruise.  That package allows for 15 alcoholic drinks in a 24 hour period, but Sanders drank 15 tequila shots in an 8 hour period, fell down a flight of stairs and injured her head and back.  Sanders sued for $250K for being over served, and a federal jury sided with her, awarding her even more than she asked for in her lawsuit!  Carnival cruise is appealing, saying it is seeking a new trial.
