Their announcement comes as the latest statistics show for the first time ever, there are now more older women having children than teens. As medical advancements continue, and more women choosing to focus on their careers and finding the right mate, the fertility rate for women ages 35 to 39 have jumped up by 71% and for women 40-44, by 127%.
