It was a shocking day of testimony in the murder trial against former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn, accused of shooting his wife of 15 years in the head while she was sleeping so he could be with his mistress.  Ashley Flynn’s mother, father, sister and brother-in-law described Caleb as a trusted and loved member of the family who they vacationed with and worked alongside for years.  They each described feeling shock and disbelief after his arrest, Ashley’s sister even telling FBI agents they had the wrong guy, choosing to believe Caleb’s intruder theory. We also learned that Caleb’s alleged mistress was the main worship leader at their church, and is expected to testify later in the trial.
