SAfm — The head of UN WOMEN believes she now has the network of stakeholders in place to ensure key deliverables in the forward-moving women's equality and empowerment agenda. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka was speaking exclusively to SABCNEWS in New York after confirmation this week that she had been appointed to a second term by Secretary General Antonio Guterres after broad consultation with UN Member states. The Under Secretary General and Executive Director also pointed to specific areas, including a reduction in violence against women and economic empowerment, as key areas of focus for her second term.
