SAfm — Airline CemAir insists that it did comply with the regulations of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SAACA) but claims that the organisation did not cooperate when it had questions around its reasons for grounding the airline. CemAir has been given until airline CemAir until 5pm today to give information regarding its safety measures regarding the weight of the plane and how it is calculated. This comes after a court order which lifted a temporary suspension by CAA which also stated that the parties must find a solution themselves after the company’s planes were grounded for failure to comply. The Aviation Authority discovered this when it conducted an audit of the company’s planes last week. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SA Civil Aviation Authority’ s Executive: Corporate Services Phindiwe Gwebu.
