Prime Minister Justin Trudeau added eight fresh faces to his cabinet today with their first meeting set for three p.m. in Ottawa. The new cabinet ministers have been sworn in at Rideau Hall in the presence of the prime minister and Governor General Mary Simon. Trudeau moved to bolster his struggling government by plugging gaps in his front bench after several cabinet ministers decided not to run in the election next year and the resignation of his finance and housing minister on Monday. Trudeau did not move the major players on his team.
