NDP will not be granted official party status

The New Democrats were reduced to just seven seats in last month's federal election. Without official party status, the N-D-P will not be allowed to ask daily questions in question period and will not be guaranteed seats on standing committees. It'll also lose out on financial resources given to recognized parties.
