How to stay cool in the city of Windsor during the heat wave

View descriptionShare

Here are some options to beat the heat:
Enjoy cooling off at one of our eleven free splash pads, open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Windsor’s Public Library branches and City Customer Care Centres provide cool havens away from the heat. Stay hydrated with water filling stations and fountains available at all Customer Care Centres. Outdoor Pools will be opening for the season on June 28, 2025. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) informs residents of heat events under the following conditions:
Daytime highs reach or exceed 31 degrees Celsius (87.8 degrees Fahrenheit) for two consecutive days with nighttime lows above 21 degrees Celsius (69.8 degrees Fahrenheit), or
The humidex reaches 42 degrees Celsius (107.6 degrees Fahrenheit) or higher.
