The provincial government is signalling that it will favour spending over balanced books as a way to keep the economy afloat in light of U.S. tariffs. Premier Doug Ford says now is the time to spend on infrastructure and programs to keep people employed or get them retrained. The finance minister will table the budget later today at Queen's Park.
