As Breast Cancer Awareness Month is upon us, a Canadian survey data reveals a troubling reality: only 15% of women reported getting screened for breast or cervical cancer in the past year. In the United States, 25% of women report getting these screenings. Dr. Belinda Curpen is a doctor specializing in diagnostic radiology at Sunnybrook Hospital, and an assistant professor of Radiology, teaching Breast Imaging at University of Toronto and she joins us to talk about the importance of getting screened.
