48% of adult Canadians have literacy skills that fall below a high school level, which negatively affects their ability to function at work and in their personal lives. (OECD Skills Outlook 2013: First results from the survey of Adult Skills – OECD, 2013). Our National Literacy Organization is working to improve Adult Literacy together with community partners to support Canadians. ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit that aims to strengthen organizations that promote adult learning. We develop and support the use of high-quality introductory learning materials and resources written in clear language.
