Lori La Bey talks with Eva Tombak, the author, and Viktor Tombak, Eva’s husband and the designer and Illustrator of the book AFTERNOON: The Aging Guide for Beginners, which explores aging, dementia, caregiving, identity, and the fragile but enduring humanity that remains when memory begins to fade. Eva is a Lithuanian author, former journalist and magazine publisher, and yoga teacher based in Vilnius. Afternoon is her first book. Viktor Tombak is an architect and has guided the English-language edition from translation to publication and promotion.
