Lori La Bey hosts the show.  Her own mother lived with dementia for 30 years.  Her compassionate heart creates a safe and comfortable environment for her guests to speak honestly and openly as her audience listens in.  Alzheimer's Speaks is about giving voice to all, and sharing resources, tools, and products. Through collaboration & education, we are changing dementia care.

On Alzheimer's Speaks you will hear from those living with a diagnosis of dementia, and their care partners - family, friends, and professionals.  We've had a variety of researchers, and companies who have created a diverse array of products, services, and tools to ease the journey ahead. 

Join us as we educate, raise awareness, and give hope to those living with or serving those that are diagnosed. Bottom line, we believe together we can combine everyday life in the trenches insights, with medical, academic, and research models, to offer more options to live well with dementia.

Lori La Bey talks with Marianne Sciucco and Lance A. Slatton about some very exciting news. AlzAuthors, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary, will be transferring ownership to All Home Care Matters. Listen in and learn more about when this transition is taking place, why, and what you can expect in the near future.

Marianne Sciucco is one of the three founders of AlzAuthors. Jean Lee and Vicki Tapia are the other two founders.  AlzAuthors is a global community of authors writing about Alzheimer's and dementia from personal experience to light the way for others.  Each of the ladies is a writer. Marianne is the author of “Blue Hydrangeas, an Alzheimer’s love story,” which has turned into a series. Jean wrote “Alzheimer’s Daughter, a Memoir,” and Vicki wrote “Somebody Stole My Iron: A Family Memoir of Dementia among other books.” 


Lance A. Slatton is known as “The Senior Care Influencer,” is a Writer, Author, Influencer, and Healthcare professional with over 20 years in the healthcare industry.

Lance A. Slatton is a senior case manager at Enriched Life Home Care Services in Livonia, MI. He is also the host of the award-winning podcast & YouTube channel All Home Care Matters, which produces a variety of shows.

The Cheryl Hauser Effect: Alzheimer's Through a Family's Eyes 

Lori La Bey talks with Wendy Longacre Brown, a certified end-of-life doula who is one of the founding members of the Minnesota Death Collaborative. She has supported clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin, worked alongside her mother through VSED (Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking), and brings decades of experience as a video and film producer in corporate and advertising settings.  

Sarah Longacre is Wendy’s sister and is a certified birth doula, entrepreneur, and community connector. She founded Blooma, a pioneering pre- and postnatal yoga and education studio, and has been recognized with multiple awards for her leadership in childbirth education.
