Lori La Bey talks with Tim MacLeod, the Director of the Healthcare Systems Preparedness workstream of the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative (DAC). The mission of the systems preparedness program is to facilitate the implementation of national, regional, and global commitments to provide access to future innovations in treatment, diagnosis, and care. Drawing on his background in implementation science and innovation consulting, Tim guides the development, execution, and dissemination of multi-site, real-world implementation studies that generate evidence about the facilitators and barriers to adopting and scaling novel technology in the ADRD space.

Before joining DAC, Tim led the award-winning human-centered design studio Bridgeable as Managing Director, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies in the financial service and health spaces on significant innovation initiatives.

Tim holds a Ph.D. in community psychology and has published widely on health innovation and implementation science. Tim’s research with the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s At Home/Chez Soi team scaled the Housing First model from 5 pilot sites to over 20 cities nationally through multi-level policy change.

Marilyn Raichle is the Executive Director of Maude’s Awards, which was created to reward innovations that enrich the quality of life for persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as their care partners. The 2024 Annual Award recipients have just been announced.



Arlieta Hall was a caregiver for her father who lived with Alzheimer’s disease. She used improv and stand-up comedy to communicate with him and took videos of their everyday life which ultimately led to the creation of a documentary: “Finding Your Laughter.”



Roxana Delgado is a Professor and Director of the Caring for the Caregiver program of the School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio

A Roadmap for An Uncertain Journey Lori La Bey talks with Guy Slowik, a retired Orthopedic Surgeon who for decades, has been interested in patient education.

Guy developed one of the first encyclopedic-type health resources when the internet was founded which served as the foundation for Yahoo Health – the largest health information site online for some 12 years.

Also joining us is Renee Despres, PhD, MPH, a freelance journalist, English literature scholar, and health systems consultant. Guy and Renee co-authored along with Candace Greenwood and Bernard Isaacs the new book Alzheimer’s The Uncertain Journey – Navigating The Challenges – The Indispensable GUIDE for Caregivers and Families.
