Yeah, let's get right to it, man. Like I said, we appreciate your time, Bron. A lot going on right now, A lot going on right now, man. And uh, what's the state of you and your family right now? I know everybody put away? I see, I see, I see regend a safe she on Instagram having a good time. How the family doing right now? And the family wonder if I appreciate your ass and the family wanted for everybody good? Man. You know, the boys they're a little too young team and care about what's going on right now. They just all they care. They just understand that they're not in school right now. So that's that's all that really matters to them right now. They're all doing home school too. Yeah they are, Yes, they are. They hate that word, by the way. Yeah, I know, I know you're probably having a hard time keeping them out the home skate park. They love it, Yeah, they love it. But actually when they come over, when they come here, you know, they actually picked. They like the basketball, man, they pick. They go straight to the ball and straight to the goal. That's what they do here. Yeah, what kind of stuff you doing right now to keep yourself busy during this lockdown? Man, Matt I've been self quarantining for years. We said, the same thing, we said. In fact, I ain't been. I'm doing the same thing man studio, every day, same thing already, trying to figure out a different wave every night I get in here, just trying to figure out something different than do. We all said, trying to come up with something a little bit more, um, a little bit more, you know what I mean. Now, giving the time and giving them the way things are right now, we're trying to come up with something a little that can help out, you know what I mean, in any kind of way. Mm hmmm, Hey when that when when that uh, that song you talked me to. That's all you told me about dropping that balling like stack jack Man whenever Mac put it out, whenever back. But I'm gonna get on Mac. I'm gonna get ye back. Tell you're sowhere in the build the Mac. Yeah now so look so so check this out to him. It's a lot that happened in the walls, man, and I see is affecting the hometown about that. Man, it's real bad out there, and it's also a surprise to me. Man, you know, you know it's a blessing it's a blessing that I am fortunately fortunate enough to be out here in Miami. But man, my mom out there and my brother and my little brother out there, man, and so that's that I'm calling them every day. Oh they're just trying to make sure everything all good in that house right there. And he playing husband right now. He trying to make sure she don't leave the house because you know, my mom is still gonna try to rip and run. Sheky, you know moms, you know, you know they she old school that all this old school. They felt like they didn't went through Betsy Katrina. They felt like, you know, man, look but now he keeping the inside and that's all that matters right now, man, because it's really bad. It's really bad out there, man. Like really they hadn't been through so much out the doll like exactly a lot of stuff don't really affect him, but it's it's still affecting the city. It's some kind of way, you know what I'm saying. And I know, like you said, you got family. I got found in New Waters too, I know. And when they go to touching certain people though, that's when in it, that's when everybody go to open in their eyes though, you know, like with shout out to the home and Pete toime Mo. You know what I mean. Once Pete time Mo went live and know that he infected with the virus, everybody go to open their eyes after that, because everybody go to feel like that's somebody they know. So once you go to fail that somebody you know gotty, you got to feel like, yeah, you can get it too. Yeah, Jack saying nobody was really taking this serious until it was on the step, you know what I mean. So you see some NBA athletes get it, you see your man get it, and people know it's real. I mean, the death rate is crazy, and I wish that people would start taking it more serious because the longer we don't take it serious, the longer we're gonna be locked down. Yeah, long it's gonna be affected. Also then you know, I said, we had a rapper into all his past recently u wee bey and um yeah, it was kind of the blue rest in peace. It was kind of out the blue for us, and you know, everybody was trying to say, is this is that? Is this is that? Man? You know, when you know what we're starting to think it is now that's crazy. He was. He was a legend. And to say that to a lot of people don't know him. But like I said from the heir, Louis was a legend of to sit very much so, very much so a legend he was. Last time I've seen him at my last festival. Man, Yeah, I gotta come to the next one. Man, We're gonna kill it. It's gonna go. Mam Ma, I can't wait. And let's talk about sports. Though we know you got a crazy connection with sports. Um, I know we didn't talk about sports a lot. Every show. Every time I'm on TV, I get it takes from you. You know what I'm saying every time on TV. But I know I'm watching every time. I already know you watch it. Hey, but tell me to tell me about your connect sports. I know music and rap go hand in hand. You know, even even I do a little rapping and stuff. But when did you first fall in love with sports? Man? When I was a kid? Man, and I mean as a kid, And I said kid, I mean like four or five years old. My grandmother raised me. My grandmother raised me. Rest in peace. She's the most beautiful woman in the world, most amazing woman in the world next to my mom, and her name is Mercedes Carter. First of all, I don't know how you even get a name. Mercey, this a back then, first of all story, nothing like that. I trying to say, I don't even know how she got that name, but you did. But yeah, she she You know, I used to just sit down in the living room and where sports were hall. Then she would teach me everything that's going on and tell me who's who and who's and what's and what he's great with, what he's good at, what he's not good at. I would take those same things she telling me. And once I go outside and go play with the homies and we're playing basketball and we're playing football. You know, I'm the only one acting like I'm the only one out here with a little knowledge. I know what I'm talking about. You don't even know who this is. You don't even know how to do this move. So I took that, And that's where the sports came from, right there, my grandmother, that's crazy. Did you play the sport you play? You? What what sports you play growing up? Though? Did you play any like in the competitive leagues or anything like that? Hell yeah, I played football on for her real park right now, that's the park and how to grow. That's the park I took care of after the hurricane, and I played exactly. You're never you're never guessing position. I played bro running back, which one doctor fullback fullback. Now you did out there a little. To be a fullback, you had to be hitting. I was blacking, man, I was. I used not a blackbiral good and I was also the play for me was four to one at the gold line. I was the touchdown, had six touchdown on I had six touchdown in one season. I took pride in that they had you like a little drone battus out there. Huh what season? It's probably what number like six yards to all put together and touches and what's matter though them touches is what's matter. That's not matter, that's all that matter. Give me that six points. I tried to go play baseball, but it was a little too much for him. Yeah. I got a lot of things with that baseball man coming there, and right, man, you just look like you're scared of the baseball stack. Look what happened. Listen, this is what happened. It said, So when we got when I got to the park, right the homie, the whole team was sitting in the dugout on the bench and they had that the little homie was pitching from from the team, and as he started pitching, the whole team got up against the gate and they were just like, go Rocket go. His name was Rocket, I guess, and it was like go Rocket, Rocket, And so I didn't. I didn't. I didn't do it. I didn't do it. So the coach came over there to me, it was like, uh, you know, like get your gays up on that gate and you go rocket as well. And so you know, I wasn't feeling that. So I thought the park and that was it. I never went back to that park again in my life. He said, I don't got them cheerleader. Yeah. I was too short for that, man, you already know. But I thought I could dribble better than anybody out there, though, because everybody your click show think they got who games man, you already no, that's another thing too. And that's another thing I was. I watched a lot of them coming up. A lot of them was colding school matt Man. He was called, Yeah, he was calling school Max Shoe think he nice, are you he literally probably playing right now. He literally go to the to the gym, and he really going through it right now because he can't go to the he can't go to the gym and ball. He really going through it right now. Say how does how does how does sports impact your music? Oh? Man, it's um just a competitive spirit for I mean, I wouldn't even when I first came ome, when I first got a name as far as rapping, and you know the hours I was hot boy for show. But once I first got my solos, my solos, that the first thing I said was I'm the best rapper A love. That competitive spirit come from sports, plain and simple. That right that that showed you that I looked at the rap I tacked it like this. I mean, it's not a game, but I attacked it like it was a game, and I want to be the best player in And that's all from sports. That's all from sports. If I if it wasn't that, if I was on the block every day and doing the wrong thing, I would attacked it that way. I'll attacted like, look, I'm the biggest such and such in the streets, I'm the biggest gangs in the game, I attack him like now I'm the beast, I'm the best rapper, and let's go. This is what we're doing. That's what's ups. We know you're a big basketball fan, obviously, but in particularly you're a huge Kobe fan obviously you know, losing him yeah, man the world, but you know, I know you had a personal relationship with them. Talk to us a little bit without about about that Man the homey first of all, arresting feasts and um you are arresting feasting him and everybody that was on that on the helicopter, that name and everybody I lost to life also love life and strength of their families as well. Man. But Man the Home is just a real or real he's a real goat. You know, you know we we float that title around and but you know, you you here when you was when I was a kid, you would watch you hear these stories about Michael Jordan's and you hear these stories about off the court and on the on a on a team plane and on the team bus, and you hear about how that practice he's he's Michael Jordan. But you see that you're here about how he don't take no, you don't want to lose that nothing. You know, you know, Steve Kerr got beat up, you know, you know how to go right the whole night. So you hear these stories, but you I didn't. You know, I never met no one. I never met Jordan's I met him. I never I never met him while he was planning, to know, to see the side. I met Kobe while he was playing, and I got to see that. I got to see that way he takes everything super It's a competitive everything. He wants shake your hand harder than you shake his hand. And once I got to sit down and talk to him, what happened. What happened was he worded, he worded a few words from from a from a Verse and I was like, like, you really know it, like you really really know me, you know, like you really know He was like, man, I've been on you since hat wasn't When he started wording it and start really rap, I was like, okay, okay, so fun if for a competitive guy like that, I figured that if he was to whatever he was at mined, it had to be my competitive nature. And that's right there, that's what it was. Mm hmmm, yeah, I think I think y'all y'all his competive nature and your competive nature as far as music wise, because just like you be in the studio twenty seven, that's how he was in the gym. You know what I'm saying. That's that's that's that's the same ship. So I can see y'all having that in coming. That's what I heard. Man. Huh yeah, being James when you can tribute at the end of the song being James on the new on the new album Funeral, How did that come about? Just because it was it was it you and j Rockle came up with it or something you came up with they When I say they came up with it, I mean Mac and the Mac Camp. You know, you know when that happened, man, it happened out to you know what I mean, Nobody wasn't prepared for just like when you're prepared for the ship were going through right now, but nobody wasn't prepared for us. So you just, you know, everybody just trying to scramble and figure out something to do any kind of way, and the Homes came up with that idea and that idea was perfect. So so tell me this, okay, transform from from Kobe Wood. Stay in sports. Let's talk about your sports agency. You know you got a lot of football players. How many you got basketball players too? Yeah? Man, yeah, man, we got we basketball, female, w n b A. We go, we go there, man, we take it there. Tell me about it. It was. It was an idea that you know, it was an ideal way back. It was an ideal way back years ago, and you know, it was just the first of all have just started off. It's a simple idea that I love sports and I just want to help out it in any way I can, you know, anyway I can't. And when I found out that, you know, when I found out that note that you can actually help you know, when I found out that no, like no, when they told me, no tune, you can actually help people, man, you know, like you can help these through the athletes become better once they take that, once they're ready to take that next step, you can actually help him. I was always thoughted it was just something that you know, you're wrapper, you get an agency, Yeah we do this, that you're a rapper, you go buy this and you go. Now, when I found out that I could actually help him and I can help him regardless of what that, regardless of what the career, what their career does, I can help them beyond that. And that's when I was all in. And so I have a whole I have a lot of athletes. And that surprised me myself. That surprised me in itself that I didn't figure anybody was going to really be into it. And man, I got when they come calling me and when they come come to us. Man, that right, there's a blessing in itself. And it's so hard to it's so hard to look past anything but them. But you gotta understand what we see as an athlete, Like we respect you because we see what your music grind is, you know what I mean, And you have that same dedication obviously that we have in our craft. So it's it's already mutual respect and they know you have passion for so really it's a no brain now. I think that's why a lot of these musicians that are in this space now J and you know, Master P was in it for a minute, Like people fuck with them because they know they're about their business and they grind in their craft. So I think it's beautiful and I think it's another good way too, similar to what Lebron's crew was done. Shout out Lebron's crew. But you can still have your hands on sports and not be the athlete. I mean you could still you can still affect the sport in so many different ways. Agency manager, sports agency, you can. There's so many different aspects of the sports you could touch without actually playing. And I love when people continue to build on that. I appreciate the amorration. Man, thank you. I know you're a Laker fan, so you got you got. Besides, Braun, I didn't even go that who you are the NBA favorites, man, We don't even go to the Lakers that know. How you op the Lakes? Man, you already know it's CP three of course, yeah, you already know CP. Yeah. And Russ for what Russell west Brook everybody rush, Yeah, that's just rust um. I sat outside, uh and I started to see Peka CP my bro. I sat to see P Russ. My favorite player right now other than anybody else, you know, than anybody you know, the Lakers, the whole Lakers squad my favorite, my favorite players, everybody on the team over there, everybody on the bench, everybody or that's my favorite other than that when you ain't I'm rocking with Russ and you already know hard and you already know that's family After Russ. I'm a real big fan of jamming Rant. Yeah, you're killing man, Man, You're killer man. Is he we gotta get We gotta get him on the show. Man his daddy It All Stars. Dad is cool, So we gotta get John on the show. We gotta get him on here Man. He a dog bro. Yeah. I like Zaion as well as especially because he's holding it down for the bidding. I really like Zaian special man. You gotta think to his body, right, he's gonna figure out what his white raid is. But then you don't people understand like until you're about four or five years in the NBA. That's when you really kind of start learning how to play the NBA game. So right now, let's just pure athleticism and God given talent. He's gonna learn how to play the game. He's gonna be a goddamn problem from here on out as long as he can stay healthy. And that's second jump he got quick. It's a stronger Sean Mary. Remember Sean Mary, and you said that quick second bounds. But imagine adding almost another hundred pounds on that bounce. Man, you know, I mean like he gotta leave that gumbolling on. I know the answer to the next question. I don't even know why I'm asking you, just asking this question what it is? Already know the answer because they ask it. Gonna be you. But what artists you you listened to right now? What are the artists you like? Right now? I know who you're listening to though you already you you already. I listened to the last thing I just did last night. Man, That's all I can know. But not but now we're not we're not getting when I when I do go off, get off of my own. I'm straight. I'm not gonna straight a little baby. I listened to a lot of a little baby. I listened to a lot of uh. I listened to a lot of triple x um and I'm I'm a huge man. All of home has been, all of home has been. They've just been super shocked that they just love that they loved the way I love Dolf. I really loved Dolf Man Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, swag yeah, but a little bit factor, I honestly feel like a little baby grew up with us to come from the same cloth we come from. He different man, he little baby different, he's different. I feel a pain in his music. Here a young man, Yeah, young man. That's how. That's how, that's how, that's how ted. That's how I just had him. That's how I simply tile him up. And he's the he's the he's it's not the it's not the quote unquote phrase of it. He's the definition to vote for us. He's a young man. And he got the personality too. He got the charisma personality to be like a real superstar. And his music is on that level as well. So it's gonna be dope to see him continue to grow. Exactly open minded to he's ready, he's open. He wanted to learn, he wanted to know more. I was in the studio shout out baby. I was in the session with him. I was in the session with him before he heard the beat came on. He heard the beat just came on out the blue that I was working on, you know, as an up Temple beat. It was probably a feature for somebody, and I told it it just came on out the blue. I told the engine, and like, you're not cut that off. He wanted to cut it. When he cut it off, he baby was like, man, I couldn't even begin to wrap on the ship like that. And I didn't heard him after after that session, I didn't heard him do like two three out of her like two three songs like that came out. Now he didn't did, like see yeah he went so he went right back. Yeah he figured it out. Yeah, so I know you see it, and I see it. We all see. It's a lot of people out there, especially lot of artists doing concerts from home. You thought about blessing the world. You thought about blessing the world War one? Boy, you know, I can't wait now for real. Stack asked Mac about as Mac, you know, um, God forbid about what we're going through this bullshit. But as Mac man now being told Mac, I don't want to do it down ship, You know what I mean, just a loud show from my own ship about five five six songs nobody ain't never heard. Probably we need, man, we need, we need that. But yeah, not that we needed. I can't even do no unheard songing. I gotta do a real show on my ship. I gotta do it. Yeah, I gotta do a real show. Hey, we need we need to we need to set up. We need to set up behind the scenes. All the smoke came before you too, so we get all the behind the scenes action to that. Man, let's get it. Let's get it. Make sure the camera set up. We all yeah, man, Yeah, Mac, I'm on your ass to mactell mcim on his ass by that song. That song. I'm gonna proform that song on that motherfucker right. Hey, we've been waiting till we heard you. We heard you gonna do our intro. So you're gonna do an intro song for the show. Yeah, that's what I actually thought he was about that. That's what I thought he was asking me about. Yeah, I've been Nobody didn't ever tell me when when they give it to when you know, I mean, when y'all need I see the show, I need to give it to you a soup. Hey, look, a couple of people been calling to actually do it. Na, bro, we already talked to tone about it. May I got this man, Nick Man. No disrespect to nobody out there, but man, I am the show intro king. Yes, yes, we need it. Hey, man, we just want to tell you, man, we feel like people don't get appreciated while they're here. We we want to appreciate them after they're going. Man, we just want to make you shake the two thousands for us, man, for a lot of athletes, a lot of people growing up. You really inspired a lot of us. Man. So we look up to you. Man, We love you, we appreciate you. We want to let you know that. Man for show, I appreciate that. Man. With that said, though, man with that said, coming up as well, with myself coming up and you, you and stack on the court, just y'all, just that coach and keeping it the live and standing true to who y'all are on that court that meant a lot just to a person does not on that court and just watching it. Man, y'all shake the nigger as well. Man, remember that, remember that, man, And I want to tell you. I want to tell you a quick story too. So two thousand eight, you dropped the card to three, and I'm about to have twins and I can't figure out my twins name. So my exit got I say his name down and I'm tripping. She's pressuring me like the boys are coming, the boys are coming. I'm smoking. I'm smoking, I'm listening to the Carter three. I said the Carter, the Carter, Carter, Carter, Carter Barnes. So I hit up my ex, like, yo, Carter. She's like, where'd you where'd you get that? I said the Carter three. She's like, cool, And that's who cards are. Harder is the one that's a little more. Carter is the one with the mohawk. Carter is the one that tells me Dad, I got like, I don't have a girlfriend, Like three or four girls are cool, but I don't have a Like he's gonna be the one. So I just I just want to let you know, man, I named Carter after you, the Carter three. Man, Man, I needed sizes at the everything I need. I needed. I needed Ruther Side everybody to get all Christmas Gibbs, everything may come on, man, I need it. We appreciate straight up. Man. We just want to let you know, Man, thank you. We appreciate your time. Man, Jack takes away. Man. You know you know, you know, you know I just text you and you and you got right on. Man. You know, we appreciate it. One thing about us, man, we this show is really it's really built off the relationships we got and everybody keeping the real with his dogs. So we appreciate your time, and we know you're a busy guy. Bro. It's all love and that already know. Man, I appreciate being on this motherfucker for real for us. So when you uh, hey, so once all this ship. So when you create the song, we want you to have you come drop the song on the show in studio say less appreciate, closes out Matt. All right, man, that's the wrap.
