This week we are showcasing our final story from the Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship (JCAF).

In this special episode, we observe grief and the cultural nuances around the way we observe the passing of a loved one.

We also have an extra-special interview before the story with Shareeka and a surprise guest!

A Litany of Heavenly Bodies by Shareeka Helaluddin

How do we feed our hungry ghosts, of futures forgotten and unlived?

A sonic archive of mourning and reprieve assembled from field recordings, intimate conversations, voice notes, grief songs and multilingual fragments. This work asks what it means to make grief an act of justice - to consider whose lives are grievable, whose deaths are remembered, and what happens when communities reclaim or reinvent the rituals that have been displaced by colonial violence and isolation.

All The Best is for new Australian storytelling. Hear from a Melbourne-based cannibal, how the Australian Wallabies used theatre workshops to improve their game, anxiety attacks in a Tantric sex class, and what the shopping centre Santa Claus is really thinking, all on All The Best.

We're a weekly radio show and podcast produced at FBi Radio in Sydney in association with SYN and Triple R in Melbourne, and broadcast nationally via the Community Radio Network. We’ve been telling stories in a variety of forms since 2011, picking a theme each week and using short form documentary, personal narrative, interviews, and spoken word to bring you the best from across Australia.
