This week we’re bringing you another story from the podcast ‘177 Nations of Tasmania’. 177 Nations is the creation of Mark Thomson, who started the project during Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 after reading the Australian Census and discovering that there are 177 different nationalities represented in Tasmania.

This story features Adel, son of an Iraqi mother and a Palestinian father. Hear Adel speak of the lasting legacy of colonisation on Palestinian land and his journey first from Iraq to Tasmania and then to visit his father's village in Palestine.
