A season-defining period for the high-flying Hurricanes begins in Super Rugby tonight.

The competition's only unbeaten team will look to complete a clean sweep of Kiwi teams in the competition when hosting the Chiefs at Sky Stadium.

They'll have to survive the rest of the season without top halfback Cam Roigard who's had season-ending knee surgery.

Adam Cooper caught up with Hurricanes coach Clark Laidlaw and loose forward Brayden Iose to preview the match.
