The Christchurch Marathon is getting an upgrade for its 50th anniversary. 

With a new course and a new naming sponsor in ASICS, next year’s event is expected to be bigger and better than ever. 

Race Director Chris Cox joined Lesley Murdoch to chat about the developments, and their ambitious target to have over 10,000 entries for the 2027 race.

News out of one of Canterbury’s more challenging golf clubs. 

McLeans Island Golf Club will be hosting the NZ Secondary Schools Championship next month, and the recently re-elected President, Chris Collins joined Lesley Murdoch to share his delight that they’ll be hosting the event.

Batter Henry Nicholls is looking to kick on from his incredible emergency return to the Black Caps' test side in the five-match one-day cricket international series against the West Indies. 

The 34-year-old was brought into the team to bat at number three for the second test against England at The Oval, after Kane Williamson's sudden retirement. 

He joined Lesley Murdoch to reflect on the England series, and look ahead to what will likely be a tough series against the West Indies.
