The Hawke Cup is one of New Zealand’s oldest cricket trophies, dating back to 1910, contested by district (minor) associations rather than the major first-class teams.
Author Alec Astle expanded on the history of the Cup, alongside fellow author Murray Brown in the book The Challegers.
He joined the All Sport Breakfast to expand further.
