After a terrifying encounter with a massive Great White at his home beach Gold Cone Piece Award Winner Brett Burcher went on a mission to find out more about sharks, shark encounters, attacks and what we can do about sharing space with these creatures in a way that doesn’t result in fear, maiming or death. His first guest is Dr Chris Lowe, a renowned Professor of Marine Biology and director of the Shark Lab at California State University Long Beach.

These conversations are the long form interviews conducted for Burch and Andrew Kaineder’s upcoming documentary Crossing the Tideline due out in 2027.
