Moorooka Bus heroes recognisedIt’s been almost 8 years since a seemingly normal bus trip in Moorooka turned into a fight for life and death and today three heroes from that day are being honoured for saving the lives of 11 passengers on board, It was the 28th of October 2016 when bus driver Manmeet Sharma was attacked by a stranger with a petrol bomb, sadly he did not survive. Peter Buxton, Crispin McCorry, and Aguek Nyok all came to the rescue of the passengers, freeing those trapped and dousing flames that threatened to spread throughout the bus, now the three men have been recognised by the governor-general with Australian bravery commendations and Peter Buxton joined me on 4BC Afternoons.
