Relebogile Mabotja speaks to Dr Malerato Ramela  a Specialist Forensic Pathologist at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Pathology at Wits University exploring when a crime happens, the clues left behind can often tell a story  even when there are no witnesses. Forensic science is where science meets investigation, helping experts piece together what happened, when it happened and, in some cases, how a person died. For the first episode, looking specifically at forensic pathology  the science of investigating death. From examining injuries and determining the cause and manner of death to identifying evidence that may have been missed at the scene, forensic pathologists can provide crucial answers to investigators.
