Relebogile Mabotja speaks to consumer journalist Wendy Knowler about Crocs South Africa’s annual birthday promotion, which sees the brand’s online deal increase in line with its age. In 2024, shoppers could snap up clogs for R22; last year, it was R23. This year, on Crocs Day, Friday 23 October, the price was R24. And in a familiar story of an online bargain gone wrong, Arthur Manning of Mayfield Park, Johannesburg, ordered a Samsung 75-inch Crystal UHD 4K TV from Incredible Connection’s website on 17 October. The sale price was R9,999, down from R15,999, with delivery promised within two to five days. But the TV never arrived.

702 Afternoons with Relebogile Mabotja is broadcast live on Johannesburg based talk radio station 702 every weekday afternoon. Relebogile brings a lighter touch to some of the issues of the day as well as a mix of lifestyle topics and a peak into the worlds of entertainment and leisure.
