Pippa speaks to Professor John Higgins about his upcoming series of talks at UCT Summer School, on famous spy novels and how their imperial or post-imperial contexts influenced their structure and narrative.  He is an emeritus professor at UCT, the former Arderne chair of literature, and a current senior research scholar.
