Luthando Vutula has held senior executive and non-executive positions in major South African development, management and finance companies, contributing at main board level to the setting and implementing of strategic policies. He has extensive exposure to housing related infrastructure development on a national and international level.
Luthando has established networks in all tiers of the South African government. He was involved with various multinational agencies and diplomatic circles in Africa, Scandinavia and North America, as well as donor agencies such as The United States Agency for International Development, European Union and North American Aerospace Defence Command.
He has extensive experience in determining and implementing operational and policy issues relating to housing and economic development and general business management skills. He also holds a good track record for business development, profit generation and enhanced returns on investments.
Luthando holds a Master’s Degree in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch, a BA Honours Degree in Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Botswana. He has completed a Diploma in Project Management through Damelin as well as a course in Strategic Banking from INSEAD. Luthando has given lectures as part of the Wits and Wharton Housing Finance Programme. He chairs several boards in the private and public sector.
