Bafana Mahungela who represented himself in his trial was found guilty of all charges related to the 2023 murder of Sandton teacher Kirsten Kluyts, who was pregnant, by the Johannesburg High Court. Mahungela was found guilty of attempted rape, murder, robbery, and thwarting the ends of justice.
