The South African Insurance Association (SAIA) has verified that Code 2 would not be shown on its VIN-Lookup website for prospective used-car buyers, according to the South African Motor Body Repairers’ Association (Sambra). As of right now, autos are covered under Code 3, Code 3A, and Code 4 on the SAIA website. After being in an accident, cars classified as code 3 are no longer suitable for use as motor vehicles.
