On this instalment of A Song, A Book, and A Dish, John Perlman is in conversation with Dr Mavuso Msimang, Struggle Stalwart. 

In 1941, Msimang was born in Edendale, which is outside of Pietermaritzburg and enrolled in the Catholic Inkamana High School in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal in 1960.

He enrolled at the University of Fort Hare in 1962 when he was 20 years old.
